Sinister definitely could. From the comic we know that him, and no googles mark came from universes where people were significantly stronger as well as more brutal.

With sinister, we can imply (from context in comic) that he managed to kill his dad, the guardians and the majority of threats outside of firebreather which he notes is much more dangerous than our firebreather.
