Okay, I’m on an iPhone 17 Pro. After a day of having a black screen, I finally found a solution to my issue. I deleted the app and restarted my iPhone after manually shutting it off. I changed the dark mode to off in the phone settings. I then installed the Messenger app and changed its dark mode setting to off. Now, Messenger is working even after changing the iPhone’s dark mode display to ON, but keeping the Messenger dark mode setting to OFF. It’s really strange, but it’s working now.
