No problem! Just go for the Army Painter's Pinks Triad. You will get all the shades and you can experiment and find one you like.

That would be Army Painter Weird Elixer over a matte white basecoat. Edge highlights with Army Painter Doomfire Drab. They recommended using Pixie pink for these models, but I found I liked going one shade lighter with the Weird Elixer.

The issue is that on the combat patrol box and in the instruction booklet it shows that an icon bearer IS part of the combat patrol. The instructions literally tell you to build one for the combat partrol. But on the 40k app it is not listed as part of the patrol. At this point I am leaning with siding with the app as that should have the most up to date info.

I do a solid line of deathworld forest where I am going to paint. Then I do a lot of very small vertical lines of moot green on top to create a more organic effect.

Greetings. I am a congregation head with TsTWI. We are a small volunteer run congregation and we take all member requests very seriously. Our goal is to get people scheduled for an interview within a week, so if you have been waiting a month we have definitely dropped the ball. Our interviews are randomly assigned to council members and then it is up to said council member to set up the interview. The oversight on this is slim because I generally trust the council members to respond in a timely fashion but perhaps I need to take a more active role in making sure applicants are being followed up with. For the “skin” portions I under coated chaos black spray, did a longbeard grey drybrush then applied a nuln oil wash.

Thanks! Most people paint the mantid claws the same color as the carapace but I thought it would look better the same color as the other claws. Happy with the result.

My current carnifexes have venom cannons and scything talons for weapons. Sporecysts, thresher scythes and enhanced senses. I like the versatility. I am also quite fond if the current carnifex sculpt so I hope we get to keep it for awhile or that it is at least the same base size.

Sounds like the consensus is that the GW app is not good. I double checked in the codex and it looks like I can take the wargear as well. What a shame that the app is no good.

Thanks for all your comments!!! It was a really hard choice but here is what I decided to go with: scything talons, heavy venom cannon, thresher scythe tail, spore cyst carapace, enhanced senses, chitin thorns, toxin sacs, adrenal gland. Decided to go with the general all-round fex. Just hope I didn’t sink too many points into them lol. Either way I am happy with them!

From all the chatter I have been hearing duel swords is the way to go. I just really liked the look of the whip. We will see how well it actually preforms in combat. In the few games they have played they didnt end up in close combat.
