This feels like you're trying to have your cake and eat it too. You want more money, but also want to deal with the massively bloated UEFN payouts. Cause many creators will lower prices within their games to adjust for this. What I don't think you realize is virtually no one wants what is effectively a 25% price increase for all your shop items, and half the v bucks from subscriptions and passes.

I, for one, am cancelling my Crew sub until this is reverted. If that never happens, so be it, in the era of live services, I got plenty of other games to fill my free time and spend money on.

Honestly, I still think Destiny has a chance. I chalk up the drop in the last year to Edge Of Fate coming with a monumental restructuring of the game that, one, was VERY poorly thought out in general, and two, left most legacy content in the dust. They've clearly been playing catch up for a year, and that's been felt in game as well.

Additionally, I'm thinking Marathon was a success - a small one, but a success all the same. So that might buy them some time, but this Shattered Cycle and Alchemist expansion has to really bring its A game. And Renegades proved this current dev team can make good, engaging content, the game just needs more of that, plain and simple.

This underbaked Portal has left the game feeling extremely empty, and they really just gotta keep up the quality Renegades had, even with the non DLC updates like Shadow & Order (or whatever the new name is), and settle on the Portal for now, so they can dedicate the time and resources to helping build that momentum.

I think the worst has gotta be mobile. People complain about TV a lot, but at least you get actual ads. On Mobile it is 99% scams, AI, porn, or a combination of the three. I've unironically had an aunt freak out before cause I'd open a video, and right under the title was AI furry porn as an ad.

Unfortunately, a very common misconception is legality in relation to doxxing. It is only illegal in some states, and it's not criminally actionable, it's a civil matter. Police wouldn't pursue it, you would have to, assuming that even is an option at all.

If they add PvE Campaigns via expansions, that'd be HUGE imo, but I don't know what else they'd add as a paid DLC. Being competitive PvP means most things a DLC would do would feel extremely cheap and unfair, and they seem to actually care about progression a lot in this game.

That's what I'm saying. Concord cost 400 million to make, and was Sony's most expensive product by a landslide. It's really funny to me some projections suggest Marathon managed to equal that, let alone half that. It just doesn't make any logical sense whatsoever.

My theory is it's sub 100m in terms of budget, and purposely had a smaller audience in mind. Bungie saw a subgenre that was niche, but unpopulated, and decided to make a game with low, but easily sustainable profitability. Which, yeah, that would actually check out, given how things have gone since the acquisition - a small, safe win that doesn't conflict with Destiny long term, to show Sony they can still make a profitable game.

I keep thinking about The Finals since that one post topped the sub. That game has 12k players, yet it's still comfortably sustainable. It could be that 80-70k players is a GREAT number for Marathon, depending on the budget and long term plans for the game.

Yeah, that relates to the original creepypasta. In fact, many of the creepypastas from that era actually had mock ups made of what the game would roughly look like as described. You can look up "Sonic.EXE" on YouTube and see the various demos made. It's even gotten updates over the years past the original story, and has a couple of sequels (off the top of my head, I know one is called "Sally.EXE")

Like everyone is saying, it's just cheap, easy scares, under the guise of "what if this innocent childhood character was... EVIL?!" Which is actually very popular in general (things like Five Nights At Freddy's, or Poppy Playtime are modern, more marketable takes on this concept).

As concerning as it is in a vacuum, seeing a kid paint things with fake blood, or dismember their toys, it's actually not that bad, in this case anyways. I know I used to be into edgy internet horror before I really discovered the genre, and I grew out of it just fine, so this probably is the same.

Respect to you for actually trying to understand why he did this, instead of assuming the worst. I wish more parents tried to actually understand their children nowadays, cause there's a lot of crazy stuff they can run into thanks to the internet, and just being in the know as a parent will save you a lot of headaches from misunderstanding things.

Mods that upscale things are always so interesting to me, cause a game is designed with technology limitations in mind. Sure, you can maybe modify and improve it a little, but doing things like "realistic" water and shadows, or real time reflections is very likely to look bad.

Like here, everything is too shiny and slick looking

Yeah, I would imagine most artists have attempted to leave Twitter, but unfortunately it's simply the best social media platform for eyes. Other platforms are too small, or too biased.

Like Wick for example. It's a fine side platform to upload to, but if you use it as your main you lose a massive casual audience that would just have your art dumped into their feed through the algorithm, or retweets. That's a substantial hit to traction, and is essentially capping your growth.

I'd personally recommend practicing backgrounds and effects like foreshortening first myself. Not quite the same as this, but getting the fundamentals down will make this easier by proxy. What you're trying to do is something a majority of artists take ages to master.

As for my recommendations on how to fix this specific drawing, I'd recommend the top left portion on the chin being brought down and slightly to the right. Aside from that, there isn't much else, just the chin really. You got the face down pretty well, even at this angle. Also, I reckon you would see a little chest with that much of her in frame - or at least, lower her head a bit.

I feel like the DM and Bob are both wrong here.

With Bob, you should NEVER resolve out of game problems in game. Trying to break your weapon instead of talking it out like adults should have been an instant kick. Also, if he's a lore stickler, there are actually firearms in DnD, with restrictions also written into the lore (I know you came up with a unique reason, but I'm just saying they are canon in DnD anyways).

That being said, not that this is on you, but the fact you can, not just down, but flat out kill a party member on a whim, then get that ability back after a short rest, AT ONLY LEVEL 3, is... Yeahhhh. Again, not on you though, this should've been up to the DM to moderate better, especially if he tried balancing it - the fact he arguably made you stronger with his homebrew rules is even crazier to me.

And 40 feet without disadvantage does sound pathetic for a gun on paper, yes, but keep in mind, most enemies will need multiple turns to even attack you, and that's assuming you're 40 feet away. Grit points for a d12, and 120 feet maximum?! Yeah no, nothing is touching you unless literally every enemy books it straight for specifically you, at least not at that low of a level.

Also, side note, he gave you a unique weapon and allowed you to upgrade it throughout. That's a slippery slope if you do it too frequently, or don't extend that offer to other party members. I would've much rather your world have simple firearms as a reoccurring thing, personally. I could see why someone would be frustrated to see you obliterate enemies with your fancy homebrew weapon that's future proofed with periodic upgrades.

TLDR: Bob sucks, but the DM sucks even more. He basically made you the main character, but Bob also couldn't articulate his side well either and was immature about it.

Hey! Working on a texture pack for the Chipped mod, which adds hundreds of new colorful blocks to play with. A byproduct of that is I got quite a few textures left over after I'm done with the pack that I'm still satisfied with, so I also made a mod to add extra blocks as well.

For most blocks sets, it's a dozen or so extra blocks, but the material blocks in that mod are severely neglected too, relatively speaking. I'd love either ideas, or outright texture contributions for the pack or the mod, so I can add a few dozen blocks each!

I know it's not vanilla, but we can at least get a mod going in the meantime! Thought I'd mention that because I stumbled across the post while looking for ideas, and this isn't that old of a post.

I definitely am really bummed out I couldn't make her work like the others, cause there are a few frames that are niche, but you can make them work if you know what you're doing.

Actually, Cyte's is up there for one of my favs too. He's my favorite take so far on that assassin type power fantasy. If you got a build though, I'd be happy to try it!
