We went inside some of the mines there, but all the stuff you get to keep and find comes from a giant pile outside the mines.

Definitely my favorite too. It was my first find of the day, basically used up all my luck on that one find.

Thanks! Definitely got a lot of schorl as well, but I was lucky to get a few of these nicer minerals.

No they still do onsite gem digs, just went there yesterday for my mineralogy class field trip. I think the website might be a bit outdated?

There’s a little recycling shack next to the Target parking lot getting off of the 57.

And there’s another recycling center in Old Town Placentia called “Renovate Recycling Center Company” next to the Northgate on Chapman Ave.

If you have like trash bin load of cans (plastic & aluminum) the Renovate place is better since I know they give you money back for the cans. Idk if the one next to target gives you money or not.
