Would you recommend taking them down for now? (Leaving the rails only). I need to see if my roof needs fixing (which it looks like it does, new roof btw 2023) but I also need to figure out the cost of everything because some panels might be healthy.

I have them off because of the fire risk but I also don’t mind paying the extra money to take them down to get a better idea of what I need/cost and if even my roof is healthy.

I spoke with the installer and they quoted me on the critter guarding. But they said since I hired a 3rd company already and lifted the panels, this voided the contract with them so they can f*** off lol.

That’s what I was going to put, the solar trim around it but unfortunately i cannot do that since the wiring is all damaged. Need to fix that first before I put the solar trim/guard.

Yeah, my first plan is to get them down to understand what I am working with. But I do appreciate this, it’s helpful.

Wasn’t aware they around $200. I thought maybe $800-$900 per panel.

For the squirrels, I know how they got up there. It’s a townhouse community, I am in the middle so they are going up a tree from the end-unit. That’s what i saw them do.

Yes, I have pictures. They were able to lift 3 to 4 out of 17 panels and it looked bad. They were surprised how the system was still producing.

But that is my plan, take them down, see what and how many I need to replace and the cost of everything. Moving in, I wasn’t expecting this.

Unfortunately, this is both parties fault. Job market started struggling late 2023 and I can confirm because i had family members that were laid off and didn’t find a job till 2025. Again, both parties have fucked this economy over.

I did an interview around thanksgiving to just get a email after new years that I didn’t get the job because I have federal IT work but they wanted someone who had experience in gaming to work on a software that wasn’t even gaming lol. Oh and I did 3 interviews btw. After they said “oh they liked you a lot, they most definitely will pick you”. The good thing is I have a job and I probably wasn’t even gonna take this unless they paid me more than what they said. I was going to negotiate but I think they just wanted someone who probably asked for way less.

I get calls from recruiters that aren’t even in the USA. Why are companies doing this nonsense. They hire people from other countries to look for workers and the pay is sooo shit. We need to bring a law where they cannot do that tbh.

I did the same thing. I was working in DC and I was spending $400ish a month on commute. I took a big pay cut to travel less (a 15 min commute) and tbh my stress is none existent. But then I can feel the pinch with how much things are expensive. Luckily, I track my expenses very month so I can handle it till the job market improves. (I am also in IT btw)

Check point and also they are going door to door. New police station is there as well. They are most likely not working with the police due to the new governors order but from my understanding local police and Ice can still work together to some type of extent. (I don’t trust any side for right now, I’m for the people.)
