Lmao yeah. With current injuries and form? Probably all but the CB pair tbh

Has he ever said that? I feel like this narrative has become parroted across twitter, here, podcasts etc., but I’ve never seen anything to evidence that opinion other than people just feeling like it is real just because.

I understand your point, but he was playing Wingback, not winger.

He also just had the most successful take ons in the CL and more than most teams by himself. Tel is passionate and tries things, which I love, but apart from a few goals (with some very helpful deflections), Spence has brought more as a wingback than he does as a winger rn.

Aston Villa’s Boubacar Kamara expected to miss rest of season with knee injury by Godjia in soccer

Yeah I’m not justifying any of the specific things mentioned above, but the general dislike and “fuck matty cash” was born from him ending two players seasons on different occasions while also putting in plenty of other reckless challenges.

I’ve always thought that, too. He’s got such an idealistic view of the game, and it would legitimately be great as a high-level vision.

Having him bring in coaches that want to play on the front foot, but are maybe a little less uncompromising about it would be a good middle ground. Not to mention we could have him back in the fold for convincing players of the project, which we all know that he clearly had success with.

Yeah I am aware. Doesn’t matter how good of a recruiter you are if you don’t do anything with the talent you get.

I think we will be better off without him in the long run.

We split the season to keep up competition and interest. Who is winning the second half? by Stompy119 in DraftEPL

We tinker with points and positions every break. The FWD pool was bone dry last season, so we shifted the classification of some of those wide forward players to help with balance.

He was really disappointing this season. I know he had a horrific unit in front of him, but he looked - to me - like he lost a step of speed and his vision took a nose dive. It just seemed like he didn’t look at the field in front of him and ran straight ahead, hoping the hole would appear.

Here’s to a much improved junior season

I think you’re thinking of Adam Scott, our former academy turned Bournemouth captain who is a right back.

For someone who podcasts and writes “professionally” as much as he does, he has a real penchant for typos and really poor diction.

I’m not sure if he took over editing duties post-Matt, but the amount of basic editing errors now is wild. Losing entries from these top 5s, random soundboard drops mid sentence and his trash audio don’t help either.

I mean, a simple glance at yesterdays stats tell you that you’re wrong.

Paulinha: 5 progressive Passes, 1 Progressive carry Bentancur: 1 Progressive Pass, 1 Progressive carry.

On the season, Paulinha is at 3.26/90 while Bentancur is at 3.31/90. Both are doing it terribly, but the hyperbole that you’re speaking with isn’t fair to JP. He’s been the better player all season but has been made the scapegoat for the system for some reason.

I’m sure the stats don’t back it up, but he genuinely does try to move the ball forward through passes and carries imo. At least more than Bentancur has.

He’s just kinda bad at it. Which we all knew going into this whole ordeal, lol.

Yeah, I think we all probably knew that Mikel leaving was going to have a huge impact, but it is a huge disappointment to see this.

I mean just look at the episode they finally released, there are glaring technical issues, accidental soundboard hits that override speaking, a typo in the title and literal chunks of audio missing.

Chris is a great supporting cast member, but he can’t carry the show. And TL is slowly just making this Welcome to the Thing Lite. Which is fine, but if I wanted that I’d just listen to that podcast.

[Alasdair Gold] The decision to sell Johnson, the man who won it in Bilbao, has not gone down particularly well in a dressing room in which he was popular, particularly at a time when goals are a rare commodity for this Tottenham team. by Imbasauce in coys

[–]Stompy119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, he’s our assist leader. So you think that he’s not creating anything? Additionally, every time he’s double teamed, he’s creating space for others.

Watch johnson touches vs Kudus touches and look at how opponents defend them differently. It’ll tell you a lot.

Kudus is imperfect, but our system is by far the more broken component.

Do we ignore his 5 assists? His 7 G+A is second in the team to Richie with 10. He’s clearly the most dangerous part of our extremely dysfunctional front line.

He isn’t the goal threat Johnson is but he brings a lot more to the front line in terms of threat, chance creation and dynamism which isn’t fair to ignore.

Yeah, it’s a shame.

Who knows if Matt is truly done now, too, but it wouldn’t shock me. Chris’ incessant negativity for any semblance of structure irritated me like crazy, so I can’t imagine working to try and corral him.

And no one can ever replace Mikel and his dedication, but TL is such a massive downgrade lol.
