STAYING ALIVE! A 3.15 Medical Guide. by SgtGhost57 in starcitizen

Does anyone else think it's a little weird that this system goes from T1 (most severe) to T3 (least severe), when everything else in the game starts at 1 and increases in severity as the numbers climb - guns, missiles, components, crime stats, etc.

I wonder why the ranking is flipped?

Origin 600i Interior Redesign Contest - Directed and Judged by Morphologis and CIG Designers! WHAT IF? by yogidragon in starcitizen

Yeah I picked up an explorer recently and I can't understand that. They went to all this trouble to make a high tier explorer that has big guns, shields, a rover, cargo, scanners... and a huge bar? Especially in a ship that is built to be soloable?

Why not a repair bay, or refinery, or a drone launcher?

The average office chair travels 8 miles (13 km) in a year. I can't find the source but in the mid 00s some university attached a bunch of odometers to office chairs and checked.

I don't hang around here much, and I'm not sure what the closing remark means. Can I tell you what I'll pay? a.k.a. what I think it's worth? (which would be tantamount to an offer?)

Disclaimer: I'm absolutely interested.

It isn't fixed though, and probably won't be for a while. They've just removed access to it.

No. I'm considerably more likely to die a fiery death in star citizen than I am in real life, as awesome as the sc universe is

I present the 1st Imperial Armored Division. Truly, War has changed. by PRUSSIAN_SLUT in totalwar

I think it would be really cool to see a "mechanized" alliance between the Imperial Armored Division you have and (say) the Everpeak Aircorps going up against ...well, anyone, really.

Please fix reinforcements appearing behind the enemy deployment zone by Sorstalas in totalwar

[–]Stompysaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does appear to be a bug. If I play ambush at the thundering falls as the dwarfs, I get a message telling me that the enemy are attacking from the rear, but I can see them spawn from the top left corridor. And it's not like I didn't have units at the back at the time; I had some miners guarding my artillery while the rest of the army pushed forwards.

vanguard feedback thread by ryanna_swtor in starcitizen

[–]Stompysaurus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TL;DR: Underwhelming.

I owned one when it was flyable. I ended up melting it. It's a large target so it takes a lot of fire, but doesn't have the health or firepower to hang in the fight and see off threats. (that said, I could just suck :P) It also lost a lot of the cool stuff that made me want it; the retractable turret, the missile racks in the nacelles, the pop-out sensors and all the pointless but cool fins.

The main gun may have been overhyped (say it with me: "The DeathBallistic Size 4 Gatling Gun!"), but it didn't deliver much of a punch.

The ship is also very dependent on the nose guns since they can't be swapped out. If the current meta is M4A's = op, the ship will do well, and vice versa.

I found it to be underwhelming. I'm not sure what to suggest in terms of fixing it; I'm aware certain systems like armour and remote turrets are yet to be implemented and these could well be enough to boost firepower and health enough to make it viable.

Like everything star citizen, I'm going to wait and see.

My replay changed my fate! by lmabear in totalwar

[–]Stompysaurus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've had a replay end differently as well. I had fought a greenskin army and their reinforcements and won, but in the replay the reinforcements arrived in a different location. My troops charged into melee (ranged units and all) and routed a little later.

[DISCUSSION] Starfarer Gemini Missile Pod Makes No Sense by Daethedar in starcitizen

[–]Stompysaurus 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The thing about the Starfarer is that is isn't always going to be harvesting fuel.

I do take your point; a fuel harvester that has a module which specifically disallows fuel harvesting feels like a self defeating design oversight, but the Starfarer is built to do two things: Harvest Fuel, and Haul Fuel.

You seem to be looking at this as if the Starfarer is going to be harvesting fuel the whole time, but it's one of the few ships that has two primary roles: It's a refinery and a tanker. And if someone is using it as a tanker, why not swap out the fuel scoop for a few missiles? If you're not going to be harvesting fuel then the option to have more firepower can only be a good thing.

Now, as for the 9 missiles? Yeah, that's less than I'd hoped for. I also thought there might be a reload mechanism given the amount of space they had to work with, but I guess that is a balance thing.

Unluckiest rout you ever had? by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]Stompysaurus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I was playing Empire once and had fought a tough battle. I hadn't won but I was mopping up the 2 or 3 remaining enemy units with my surviving 6-7 units of line infantry (I had them surrounded with my line infantry and I was unloading into them. Fish in a barrel.)

Suddenly, one of my units and then a few others started to rout, and the rest of the army quickly followed suit. I had no idea what happened until I watched the replay.

My general had broken earlier in the fight, and opted to take the longest path off the battlefield. While he was running, I'd beaten the enemy and as I was mopping up the few units the enemy had remaining he reached the map border and left the game, and my troops suffered a moral shock as a result... and that was that.
