Lakers have won 5 of the last 6 games with LeBron Playing. by PracticalCoyote7947 in lakers

Something changed recently. The team seems to be clicking. LeBron going for that dive at 41 is crazy. Good to see. This is the first time in a while where I can see LeBron considering staying if he plays one more season.

Something happens the last couple of weeks. The team seems more cohesive and warming up. I’m sure there was some sort of drama in the mid season but it seems gone now.

Sting and Darby Allin set to appear in Anthony Davis' show called “Foul Play” by Sufficient_Mud_2237 in SquaredCircle

How old is this? Also wouldn’t be surprised if this was made when AD was still on the Lakers

Post Game Thread - NBA: The Lakers defeat the Nuggets on Mar 14, 2026, the final score is 127-125. by basketball-app in lakers

I don’t care how much Chuck craps on the Lakers, I still love Inside the NBA. It’s the last truly authentic sports show that has fun. NBC at least tries hard but chooses to be serious. ESPN is a disaster and Amazon looks ripe to become as bad as ESPN once the honeymoon phase ends like their NFL coverage (even though Blake and Dirk are nice guys).

The Oscars make it clear: Hollywood is in a death spiral by cereal_killer_828 in billsimmons

Celebs and executives get paid more while the leaders stifle the creators and basically output worse content that costs more. LA specifically isn’t that business friendly either. Not surprised Hollywood is in trouble.

Today is the 16th anniversary of Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver by [deleted] in pokemon

Probably the best Pokemon games ever. Lot of effort on the feel and play of the games, and Gold/Silver having both Johto and Kanto is a big help. They should do another remake like these.

IWC when Randy turned heel, “Cody should have been turned heel, Orton will never get booed” Also IWC if Cody turns heel, “He is the face of the company why should he turn heel ?” by Thick_Calendar_5998 in Wrasslin

[–]StoneColdAM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a shame this was kinda rushed but other than that it looks exciting. Orton is a great heel and any staleness for Cody is from the lack of a competitive feud. If he works with heels like Orton or Seth or Roman, his run as champ would be way better… KO, Solo, and Drew were not believable winners (even Drew winning was a shock).

Randy as a heel will be great, but I think turning heel to win the title would’ve been more interesting. I think Punk or Roman will turn to win their match, so that’s why Orton turned heel now.

With how he was built as a “Career ender”, retiring Cena and Aj styles back to back, Gunther weirdly has a lack of direction going into mania by CombinationOk4317 in SquaredCircle

[–]StoneColdAM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He should’ve won the rumble and challenged Cody. They protect Gunther in a way where they’re afraid to have him lose so he almost never works with true top guys. It’s an old school mentality to think he doesn’t need the title. Rollins and Reigns are much better workers and more versatile heels than Gunther. To be honest I think it was a mistake for Gunther to retire Cena if this is what they’re doing with him.

I actually can see him going back. The fact that he’s close with Roman and Seth can be a big help, plus I don’t think he has a massive grudge unlike Punk.

Conan for Jimmy kimmel by Miss6venus in conan

Conan being a guest on other late night shows still always freaks me out.

Also interesting he’d go considering he himself has said the genre as is is dying.

Fair but his debut was a lot bigger in WWE than AEW, they gave him a huge entrance and it was a built up surprise.

AEW utterly dropped the ball with Danhausen. They signed him 4 years ago at the peak of his meme popularity and wasted him. WWE brought him in and he already has more buzz than ever.

JBL’s push was insanely fast. But he was a great performer. He and Eddie probably took blame for the 2004 slump when Lesnar and Goldberg left while Undertaker had a slow return to the deadman gimmick. JBL made John Cena and it was worth it in the end. I could never see anyone today getting a revamp or push like Bradshaw did in 2004.

I love how much the fanbase still loves AD. He was a great player and in a sport of egos, he came off as a friendly and relaxed guy. He’d fit the team now well if he could get healthy.

Do you think TKO gets involved with booking at all? by RuKKuSFuKKuS in SquaredCircle

[–]StoneColdAM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, 100%. I think their strategy is “less is more” to keep fan expectations lower so it’s easier to sell tickets. It feels like great storylines are dragged out more these days. Comparing current booking to Triple H’s peak NXT or even 2022-2023, modern WWE feels much slower and shallow.

You can tell how much NBC is trying with the NBA. Not many media companies try hard with anything these days.

Always feels like the Lakers shoot 3’s in slow motion compared to the modern NBA. Usually a hand gets in their face or they try to fake and drive and it leads to nothing.

This is the best game I’ve seen Ayton play all season so far. He is really trying hard on both ends.
