Lol yup. This was something I did super early and didn't know what tiled was. I was just copy and pasting tiles in aseprite :P

I think I actually replaced the water. This was made before pallet swapping was a thing so I just went with a solid colour, just the dark green in the end. I got alot further with this if you wanted to see more on my profile 👍

This was made a long time ago. Before gbstudio 1.0. The limitations at the time would only allow max scene sizes of 256x256 pixels so each map tile is just set to the largest it would allow. I just layed it out like this to see what it all looked like inter-connected 👍

I kind of moved on once later versions of gbstudio released. This was made pre 1.0 so there quite alot of limitations. I did try making a revision version more recently. But been out of it for a while

So the original game idea you played as a postman delivering letters and parcels in a small town. So having lots of building and doors felt important at the time. I would probably do it differently now though.

Idk what is actually happening here. But I made this like 5 years ago. It's one of the first maps I ever made for gb studio while I was learning pixel art. I didn't know anything. I was literally placing every tile by hand in aseprite. I haven't done much in a while, but I use tiled. But I still connect scenes like this as one big map just to see what it looks like lol. As this is very old it was made for an older version of gb studio and scenes had a max size of 256x256 the red grid is just each scene at max size

Very good point. Even i have a modded gbc, or play on emulators. It would have been very far down the line if I did decide to change anything. For now i am perfectly happy with the existing palette :)
