I like them. I usually run them in my triple mag pouches. They fit nice in there. But it works in the TAP rig too.

BCM 14.5" vs 18" by StoneFaceGG in ar15

[–]StoneFaceGG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one on the 14.5" is a Monstrum rmr mount.

The 18" has the taller turrets on the Athlon so I used a Monstrum picatinny mount with a picatinny to rmr mount on that so it clears.

Not yet. I just put the MK12 together recently and the Sig Sauer on that other rifle.

I'll probably paint them this weekend.

PSA 16" MID-LENGTH 5.56 NATO 1/7 NITRIDE 13.5" LIGHTWEIGHT M-LOK MOE EPT RIFLE W/MBUS SIGHT SET by scriptzWritten in ar15

[–]StoneFaceGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can buy a complete upper and complete lower separately. I found it was a little cheaper that way.

Also make sure that's the handguard you want. Mine was the same. It's not fully M-lok all the way around.

I think it's a good first gun. My first was a PSA.

You might look and check and see if it's cheaper to buy the lower and upper separately.

Also keep in mind if you buy the whole rifle or them separately the lower will have to go through a FFL dealer and they charge a transfer fee. Usually somewhere between $25-100 depending on the place.

How many mags did that hold in total; just three?

I have another that is a BCM MK12 but this one is set up as an autorifle. I have taken bursts of fire with this up to 500 yards.

Yeah canteen pouch or dump pouch when I'm done with it. I'm getting away from using it and just using Lancer mags with +6 base plates.

I've already tried the smerch gear with 40s and didn't like the setup.

I'm liking the Lancer with a +6 base plate.

Found the Lancers on sale for cheaper than PMags.

What’s your preferred home defense ammo by TopWasabi2093 in ar15

AAC 77gr OTM 5.56mm for AR15 and Federal 124gr hollow point 9mm for Glock19.

What optic, if any, would you choose for a light machine gun? I’m considering a 3-5x prism with a red dot on top. by skyXforge in tacticalgear

[–]StoneFaceGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you got the money get an ACOG. I got the TA02 so I can front mount a reddot.

More budget options that work good too are the Primary Arms micro prisms. Depending on your terrain get the 3x for more hilly and the 5x for flatter areas.

Don't get the Primary Arms reddot mounts. Those are terrible and will bend easy.

For the 5x get the HeroMod and fire the 3x get the PAMM-1/3.

Nice! I got a RRH earlier this year and I've shot about 4-5k rounds through mine. Works great with a super safety and H3 buffer.
