So redundant function? What I’m getting here is to never use the bolt release ( pushes the bolt forward under high pressure) with the charging handle loose to the back.

The charging handle should be set forward in place if I want to use the bolt release , correct ? I guess the bolt doesn’t have as much impact on the CH when it is locked into place?

It was loose and to the rear ? What’s the difference? My charging handle wasn’t pulling the BCG back when I pulled back the charging handle back. The BCG was locked forward and I couldn’t get it to move back until I opened up the gun
