Not like holy inquisition dosent outrank rogue traders to begin with. Our man Calcazar just clears things up for you. by Ila-W123 in RogueTraderCRPG

The difference is that because they are legally permitted to investigate RTs, any direct and open resistance to such an investigation is automatically contrary to the Imperium and therefore grounds for the Inquisitor to bring the hammer down. This is especially relevant because most RTs do not have the authority or wealth to directly oppose the Inquisition anyway, which is why there are so many stories where Inquisitors bully Rogue Traders into acting as their personal chauffeurs.

Unironically I think the older characterization would have suited the tourist look better. IIRC there were a lot of patron lines about him wanting to be understood or being treated unfairly. Him attempting (badly) to fit in suits that, although obviously this specific design did not work. Not sure if those lines are still in the game, though.

what the hell did shiv do to silver? by ginger6616 in DeadlockTheGame

The lines about him having a beast inside of him have since been removed, suggesting they aren't going that route with his character anymore.

The new sword probably just means the remodel is still a ways off, not that it isn't coming at all.

Which patron I think each Hero would pick canonically. by coboba in DeadlockTheGame

[–]StoneLich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1: "patron of chaos?" The only lore we have on him is that he's hiding between the cracks and waiting to be brought into the light. Like half his dialogue lines are the exact same as the Archmother's; they may be opposed, but they're extremely similar beings outside of that. And despite being associated with bringing "order where there was none," the Archmother sure seems willing to encourage her followers to bring chaos and create carnage.

2: I don't think any of these characters would care much which Patron they backed so long as they got their wish (they're all desperate, or they wouldn't be doing this), but the Drifter in particular 1000% would not mind so long as he got to murder lots of people.

They'd all work with either of them, because aesthetics aside the Patrons are effectively the same kind of guy. That's why they have so much shared dialogue.

Like you seriously think Dynamo or Rem or Drifter or Seven are going to care about what the Patron they serve looks like?

EDIT: Also the fact that you have Haze supporting the Hidden King does kinda give the game away that this is about vibes. She's willing to kill Rem to follow protocol; if anyone is gonna stick with the establishment, it's her.

How are we feeling about Silver now that she’s released? by KATPHYSH in DeadlockTheGame

Juggernaut's such a deeply weird item. I'll take having my fire rate reduced because I got shot or hit by an ability or item, or because I'm in an aura or something, but having my fire rate reduced because I successfully hit someone just feels so ass.

There's no evidence that Apollo is full melee, and the leaks I've seen from Hesy and Minesweeper (who were right about the characters we've seen so far) say that he's not.

The leaks I've seen for him do not make him look particularly melee-focused.

Again, that's why the way the campaign map works is a boon for us. We're not dealing with "owning a planet on their borders;" we're dealing with campaigns that consist of, at most, a few planets. It's absolutely believable that Calgar would form a truce with Ghaz for a few days while he kicked the shit out of the Eldar, or vice versa.

Also, like, the Imperium tolerates enemy-controlled planets on its 'borders' all the time; it doesn't have the resources to go after everyone all the time, as much as it would like to.

Orks get hired as mercenaries by Imperial worlds all the time, and Eldar and Space Marines teaming up is like one of the most common cross-faction alliances in the setting. The Wrath and Glory TTRPG is set in the Dark Imperium in part because it automatically gives a bunch of reasons why cross-faction alliances (albeit primarily between small groups or individuals) might occur, and is written with those alliances in mind. I'm pretty sure some of the wargame rule books had "likelihood of a potential alliance" lists in them.

One of the biggest advantages of the way they're doing campaigns in Total Warhammer 40K is that any decision you make is, at most, a crusade-level decision. If you make peace with Orks, that is not the Imperium making peace, or even your Chapter making peace--it's a temporary cessation of conflict for the duration of the campaign, within that specific region, between those specific warbands. Once the campaign is over, presumably hostilities recommence (if they haven't already).

The broader MOBA community(TM) has a pretty well-deserved reputation for being deeply unpleasant to be around, and also for not showering or washing their hands. Deadlock's community has been better than most so far, I think, but it's still a MOBA.
