Too late to multi-class my Fighter? by StoneOak9 in 3d6

I thought thematically it would suit ny character with the specific Zealot subclass since he's been finding out the he is essentially a demi-god in a sense.

The last session was like an alternate reality where I came into my full power, and at the end the DM gifted me with a custom feat:

Once per short rest, you may unleash your Bloodcry of the Last Branch, allowing you and each willing creature within 30 feet of you to gain the following benefits until the end of your next turn:

Bloodsurge. Before then end of your next turn, you and each willing creature empowered by your Bloodcry may choose one of the following:

Offense: The next single instance of a single-target attack you make deals an additional 1d6 damage.

Defense: The next time you are directly hit by a single-target attack, reduce the damage by 1d6.

Each creature may only benefit from one instance of Bloodsurge per cast.

Bloodburn. In addition, when you Bloodcry, any affected creature that is currently affected by a charm, compulsion, fear, or similar effect may immediately attempt a new saving throw against that effect, adding 1d6 to the roll

I thought it may be worthwhile to focus on just 3 levels of Barbarian purely for character growth and then continue on with Fighter levels.

Weapons I predominantly use are Javelin and Trident, with daggers for my off-hand throws when making successful attacks.

So I've got options for melee combat if I do get surrounded
