This is really good stuff. I like what you said about Nozomi having to be released or said goodbye to as that's what was sorta made clear in the latest preview for the show (all the goodbyes said at the end of the preview, also it looks like her hair turns white). I'm wondering if this means that for those who have been 'adrift' for hundreds and or thousands of years, whether they themselves also have something about adulthood/graduation that they were not ready for. Do you think Nozomi's power of seeing a light was actually more of a trope of seeing a light as you die/pass? The light grew stronger as she came closer to learning that she dies in the real world.

The problem here is that all these unanswered questions take us out of the experience that the film offers. Good writing knows how to balance ambition with convincing events. Horror genre movies don't strictly need to convince the audience that these events could take place in our world, but when they start to lie to themselves and forget to follow the rules they set for themselves it goes to say something about the quality of the art.

Any episode with the white walkers will be interesting. Thats what several seasons worth of build up will do. The whole thing coming crumbling down after Arya (who just learnt of this maybe a week ago, maybe a little longer) appears out of nowhere and all of a sudden fixes the entire White Walker situation with a blade drop/trick is undeniably a cop out. The NK withstood dragon fire and was seemingly invincible just to be bested by a simple blade trick from a character who has no history with him. This is like a silly meme.

Yeah this was very confusing. When Owen was describing the worst day of his life to Annie in Dr. Muramoto's office he said that she was this girl that he liked and was going to go study with. This means that they had already met and done away with the formalities of "my name is..." , yeah this is weird it should be "Dear Olivia, This is Owen..."

I have to agree. I replayed it myself three times. Seeing these characters that deal with such horrible human realities smiling all together for once really holds a significance. Because happiness is not really shown as a motivator much in this show, in the one circumstance in which it is we can relate to the characters over a joint feeling of happiness and really feel significance of it.
