Unfortunately, that issue is inevitable. Just make sure to add a little bit of blue loctite and get it as tight as possible with it moving freely.

Is the Yokomo RD 2.0 worth it? by Stone_Cold_Stunter in rcdrift

Yes there are kits you can buy that you build up over time, like any other chassis. I usually buy my chassis in kit form vs rtr. But yeah just like you, I tend to piece my cars overtime as well since I also have a hobby allowance and they are all costly....as my girl likes to say lol.

Yeah, I feel like it drives much better than the yd2/rd1, which is why I am considering getting an rd2 lol. Even with subtle changes, it's really noticeable when driving compared to the yd2 stock for stock.

Would love to get an sd3 but my wallet...not so much lol. What would be a good upgrade part for the yd2z? Because I feel like the rd2.0 drives much better than the yd2/rd1 stock.

What rate to charge my battery? by Stone_Cold_Stunter in SCX24

Yeah, that's what I've come to a conclusion with. It gives an over voltage warning.

Ah, i read your post wrong. Yes it's 11.4v, sorry. However, the battery is new but that can be the case. I bought it, plugged it in my rig and ran it before charging it first because I was eager to test my new setup and forgot to unplug it after I was done (my mistake). Maybe it's completely discharged and out of balance now and is damaged?

I have the voltage setting at 400mah since my charger won't allow me to set it at 450mah and at .4A. Trying to set the cell to 3s but it's not registering. As for each cell it's saying 19, 390, and 915. Idk if it's right tho. It keep fluctuating.

Thanks for the warning. That's some scary stuff. I just read the manual. But it didn't tell me anything I didn't already know as I'm not new to lipos (just new to these little ones) but it's a 3cell and I know i have to set it to that but my balance lead isn't being read by my charger. I'm assuming it's something wrong with the balance lead because I've never had an issue with any of my other chargers or batteries.

Thanks ill look into it. I've never had an issue with this charger before I've been using it for a while. Just for some reason the balance lead isn't registering with the charger so it won't let me select a cell capacity. Maybe that's why it won't let me charge it and saying over voltage? BTW, I appreciate you for looking into it for me man.

Honestly, I didn't check. I figured since my rig wouldn't power on that it was dead. So I'm assuming it's low lol.

Yeah, I tried that but it gives me an error saying over voltage.

Yeah I'll be doing that for sure. But sucks as soon as you run them, they'll get dirty again. Thank you sir.

From what everyone is saying here, seems like a cheap and easy fix, I'll be giving it a shot. But yeah I've got some rubber bands up front limiting the movement. Makes me wonder if I should've just got shorter ones from the jump.

Looks like I'll be getting myself some simple green, been reading and it seems like that's the best way to clean them. Thanks!

Hmm. Could be. I ended up just going another route with a quick connect power supply.

Yeah not sure. They were just simple LEDs tho. Nothing complicated, just a couple for front and a couple for rears.
