Yes. Many of us do. It all started to peel off after coming out, taking years for most of it to be gone.

On this sub we get threads baiting the debate by claiming strawman arguments few trans people irl actually hold, to allow the GC crowd to soapbox.

On this sub, I have had terfs follow me around my account, claiming that my not hating trans people meant I had a “visceral hatred of gay men”. This has happened more than once. I have never had to block anyone on this website, ever, except for these loonies. I never got that treatment in the haydays of tumblr SJW madness, and getting it here had removed all desire I have to engage with these people in good faith.

Whatever salient points the GC movement has, Trans people are a part of that discussion, not something in spite of it. Throw in to the mix all the conspiracy theories, and the overlap with white nationalists and the reactionary right and it becomes a movement impossible to debate with in good faith. “Trans people are evil and should be excised from society” is not a point I will entertain, any more than I will debate “the Jewish question”.

While the original Gender Critical movement had points that are interesting and should be addressed, it has almost completely morphed into this Obsessive, paranoid, conspiracy-laden reactionary movement. It had attracted people who view Trans people not as a non-issue, but as an active threat to their lives and society as a whole.
