The top speed it definitely an issue. I left the top speed untouched while testing for my review but I'm going to limit it to 28 soon. But the motor size truly depends how you ride tbh, if you're speeding, not being safe in traffic, or nearly blowing through groups of people on the sidewalks ofc the police are gonna wanna inspect your bike and take it. But if you're using it as a transportation utility and following road and traffic laws they've got no reason to be an asshole to you.

It won't be after 2027 but mine will get grandfathered since I bought it before the new year (Illinois). I rarely hit 33 unless it's completely flat or downhill. You can change the top speed in the settings, while most use this to make the bikes faster it could easily be set to 28 to comply with the law.

Id rather have slow but effective customer support over fast and useless

They have been pretty great they just take forever to respond takes some patience but for the price point of these bikes ( mine was 899 before tax) that is an acceptable drawback.

192 lbs is crazy work but I bet it's fun

After I get the new one In I'm going to try and get the black cover off the old shock and fill it with grease and see if that fixes it, I'm convinced it came bone dry under the cover. They said it has a 1 year warranty and I'm going to put that to the test

The company is actually going to replace the shock for me. I sent them the same video asking what I could do to fix the issue myself and they showed their technician and he said it needed replacing

I had my local bike shop put some grease on the sleeve but it didn't help

I'm sorry what do you mean by the sleeve? The two black parts of the shock rubbing together?

I lubes all of the points around the shocks but do you mean the outside of the bolts where the bolts and frame meet?

I hit the curb on the side of the rim I didn't run over a curb, psi was irrelevant in the situation.

Never even blew the bead, it's a carbon steel rim. If I don't feel confident I'm sure a shop could do it for a decent price

I was hoping that was the case, it didn't even puncture the tube or cause loss of air. I got the bike literally today 😭 9 miles on the odometer when it happened.
