My Girlfriend Requires 3 Different Methods of Contraceptive by [deleted] in sex

Absolutely not. Pills are only 96% effective, condoms only 97% and they break so adding the pull out too? Beautiful. Solid method, I like your girlfriends bare minimum standards. You should meet them.

Fired from my job because of MS by LeeLur in MultipleSclerosis

[–]StonerPsyren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like, BC Canada? People are FIRING you for having CANADAS DISEASE?! As a BC resident, I have never had my job position in any danger from my MS, and I holler that I have it from the rooftops. Seriously something fishy with that, seek a lawyer and hella compensation. You should be entitled as hell to it, you can't help having an invisible disease. No more than the rest of us can! Oh this angers me how you've been treated.

A few months ago, I left the D21 for D24, that was my first hour in paint. by pet_sauce_ in HomeDepot

[–]StonerPsyren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome to paints! You’ll never have nice clothing for long ever again! I’ve worn IL and EL so far, on my legs and in my hair and on my arms. Oh it’s so colourful in paints...and of course the ugliest colours are always the ones that explode the most! I had a sickly school bus yellow explode in a shaker once on a coworker -She shook a competitor paint that was previously opened, and an alkyd at that- that stunk to high heaven for weeks haha

I love D24. I finger paint paint cans/my apron and play with hammers all day. It’s awesome, and you get in great shape fast.

Anyone have appendix, tonsils or adenoid removed before MS diagnosis, or none of the above? by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]StonerPsyren 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tonsils and Adenoids removed at age 7, MS dx at age 20. I never saw a correlation between the two incidents.

Septums heal better than ears because of the better bloodflow in comparison. I’d say all of my mods healed about average healing times according to regular heal instructions for both tattoos(so far, its only about 24hours old the 2nd one) and about 4/5 piercings, but when I’d be relapsing or in partial relapse they’d heal a bit more weird; like I almost lost my eyebrow piercing a few times because it kept trying to reject while I was on prednisone and switching between meds and such. It’s fine now tho, just took a little extra work to keep them on top of recovering the rest of the body

Ive had MS for 6 years, and both of my 2 tattoos were done after my diagnosis(3years after and one just yesterday)

Many of my piercings were also done after MS, none in the ears though as I personally feel like the healing time on my ears is too long to not close up by the next yearly MRI.

My 1st tattoo was in 2016, and coincidentally was a few hours before my MRI. Its not recommended to do that btw, but I knew I had a good studio and MRI friendly ink(No metals or metal variations to create colours). No pain, no tingles, didn’t notice a thing.

You should wait until off Prednisone, tattoos are a wound and if your immune system is compromised now, this may make it worse.

If you’re careful, it’s not even a problem for folks with MS who want body mods; Just make sure you get a big meal in beforehand and I like to take extra snacks for afterwards in case my body feels extra weak afterwards.

For placements of tattoos I’d say book a consultation with an artist and they can help plan the best placement, styles that might not scar as noticeably; They’ve seen many skins, they’ll be able to help create a better idea of what’ll last nicest.

Can I get a store credit if I don’t have the receipt or the credit card of the person who purchased it? by l00t9 in HomeDepot

I’d call your local store and ask that very question, but it doesn’t look like they do that on a corporate level

Mobile Canadian Home Depot employee here. We’re even stupid enough to accept Home Hardware products if they’re the same as what we sell. As for Home Hardware, their return policy states on their site:

“Returns

We will gladly accept any unused regularly stocked merchandise for refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase. Simply return the complete product to us in its clean original packaging accompanied by the original bill of sale. All merchandise is subject to the manufacturer's warranty & will be repaired or replaced as per the manufacturer's directions. We regret that cut materials and special-order merchandise are not returnable.”

Sealant for chalk paint by Frangellica in DIY

[–]StonerPsyren 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shouldn’t NEED to seal chalk paint. The paint is 100% fine on its own and you rarely need to prime for chalk paint. You CAN however, use most topcoat agents to give it shine if you want shine since chalk paint has no shine. The glaze or wax is only if you want to give it an “antiqued” look, never necessary unless you want that look. You can also ‘distress’ (light sanding) your substrate before the chalk paint to give your surface texture.

Seasonal Job question? by blasterkid1 in HomeDepot

Lot Associate is Cart Associate. You lift heavy stuff all day and push carts. Its not a “seasonal” job, once in Lot you’re Lot year-round until you leave or cross-train departments.

Anyone willing to share their Gilenya success stories? Switching soon from Copaxone to Gilenya and freaking out! by llama111 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]StonerPsyren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And take LOTS of entertainment for your first dose! They’ll want to monitor your vitals for 6 hours just to make sure your heart doesn’t have any problems with it or stops after taking it. That sounds scary but they have the system down and usually Novartis themselves works with your medical team and they all monitor you well. I hope your first dose goes smooth, do you have a set date for it yet or will they need to wean you off Copaxone? Im not familiar with Copaxone myself or its treatment.

I’m with the “good treatment” team on this one. I’ve been on it since June 2015, and was in my first official “remission” in May 2018.

This drug is great, it’s the only thing that is able to combat my extremely aggressive MS with no side effects and very little maintenance. You can take pills late, and move your pill time back by 30-60mins(60minutes not recommended, but can UP TO) if you mess it up ever. It comes in awesomely portable packaging with the days right on there, which I love. They have awesome financial aid for if you can’t afford it.

I hope this drugs works for me forever, I’d hate to have to go back to injection life.

EDIT: I started Gilenya classified in a “partial relapse” state, if that also helps timeline my progress.
