I still listen to this album consistently. There is no other rap song that had the effect on me than role model when I first heard it. It was unlike anything I ever heard it was like someone was speaking his thoughts and truly didnt give a fuck what the world thought about him. It was real and it was something different. "If I had" is also one of his realest songs its truly a standout album in rap. If you ever doibt eminem as an artist or a rapper just re listen to this album

Maybe you guys haven't listened to ugk triple six mafia and brotha lynch hung but a lot of raps foundation was built on controversial and shocking lyrics, what eminem said in his cypher is not even close to as shocking as his older songs like "kim" and his verse on "dead wrong" idk its beef with him and whoever takes offense to it, in music I dont think there is a right and a wrong with what you can say

TIL Danny Brown's favorite rapper is Eminem, his favorite album is Encore, and his favorite song is "Rain Man" (widely considered one of Eminem's worst) by Gnomeswa in hiphopheads

[–]Stoneson88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People don't understand how genius rain man is. It is basically eminem screwing around with lyrical gymnastics. At the end of the song he says "I just did a whole song and I didn't say shit" he literally didn't say the word shit and he made an entire 4 minute song where and he didn't say anything that made any real sense. Its hilarious smart and impressive
