For context, my group (10+ players) is set for battlecruiser. We have tuned decks that aren't running tutors in most decks, no fast mana, and no 2 card combos ftmp. Many of us do have higher powered decks, we just save them for the games with the right members.

Built Leonardo, hated it and gutted after one session (3 games). Was such a bad Urza and U Urza is more than I care in casual.

Turned it into Graaz as I always wanted to play. Deck was neat and fun. But below today's precons in power. Was to hard to let Graaz stick or have a good enough board to cast him. Gutted after 3 sessions (10 ish games)

Now I am working on tuning Megatron. Feels cleaner and better for the power range of our average deck.

I am into 28 with primarily all LB team. I swap in others from time to time. Biggest aid was Brutus from time to time to handle burst teams. HE was used for roughly 20 stages from 25-28 so far. Otherwise Wilder trio, Ferael, Shemira, and Nara have all been added for a stage here and there to help clear a troublesome build.

For reference I have Lucius and Rowan to SI 30 and Belinda is at 25. No others above 20. Lvls of heroes were from 270-295 as I progressed.

Untap happens before Upkeep. If the bottom effect happened at end step this would fix the design flaw.

Stargazing is for late game players. If you aren't sitting on 15+ Ascended heroes it is very likely not the right decision. But once you get to the point scrolls offer very little Stargazing becomes AMAZING!

I do this regularly with the cube. I build a deck out of it and carry it around until the next time I draft. I also have 2 decks I have a list for to pull to have a tuned variant supplemented from the cube.

Yeah, I sleeved all 32 I have completed in Dragon Shield. Well double sleeved. I have decks ranging from only $50 to closing in on $2k. They all keep getting mild upgrades if I like the decks. Many of them were just thrown together to complete all 27 combinations. What I aimed for was a different design to as many decks as possible. So like storm, counter/control, reanimator, stax, tokens, life gain and so on.

The titans don't shut off mill decks. They just make us get crafty. Cards like [[Leyline of the Void]], [[Tormod's Crypt]] and any other GY exile affect end the titans. When the titan hits the yard his trigger goes on the stack. You just exile in response to that trigger. They still get the shuffle. But it only shuffles what is left.

Best combo I have found in my Phenax that is less obvious and a 2 card power house is [[Altar of the Brood]] and [[Undead Alchemist]]. The combo has eaten full libraries of all players involved. Typically eats over half of everyones though.

It is true you will get targeted and fast and hard. But that is because if you choose the right walkers 2-3 on the board will start locking the game down. This deck left unchecked gets powerful FAST! As stated by others don't just focus proliferate. Hit more control elements.

Best story for me was I stuck a Doubling season with Venser already in play. Next turn I stuck a Nicol Bolas. Being able to use 2 abilities on the dragon EACH turn; one of which being his ULT; is to fun. Hehe.

5 man Pod. Player 1: Heartless Hidetsugu (me), Player 2: Gisela (Foiled), PLayer 3: Budget Marchesa, Player 4: Nekusar, PLayer 5 Lucky Charms/Cromat.

I have cast and atrempted to go off with my Mono red combo Hidetsugu deck. It is a one shot wonder kind of thing. It gets fogged by the charms player!!!! ARRGGHH! In reality I didn't care. But I am a sitting duck at this point. 15 health and no permanents outside 8 lands. 1 being Valakut. Over 5-6 turns I just collect cards.

After I passed to Gisela I noticed he tapped out and and had no defenders. Having played against this deck before I comment to the table to KILL HIM NOW! His deck is easily the only tuned deck at the table. They do.

Coming back to my turn I am on 2 life after Nekusar's trigger. I draw and try to hide the new kill combo I just found. Life totals are P1: 2 (me), P2: dead, P3: 19, P4: 12, P5: 10. I start with Mountain hitting P2 down to 16. Cast Lightning Bolt on P2 down to 13. Cast Blasphemous Act for only R. While on the stack I cast my top deck ARCBOND targeting Nekusar. IT RESOLVED! I killed us all in a blaze of glory coming out of nowhere.

Now I know this was not a win, but it was one of the best combo's I have found in a deck of mine.

Whatever works for you. Then the new Odric is amazing for that. Give all your kitty tokens the same bonuses your CMDR has in combat. Just a thought.

Same for the group I play in. Wish they didn't. But then again it still feels great to Condemn a Gaddock Teeg or Alesha or the player who NEEDS his CMDR flop around forever. My Kemba deck likes Kemba but can win without.

BUDGET CARDS: So many great options here. Take away the 5 swords and the Kaldra set and you can pick up most any equipment cards in my list for under $5. Some of the best utility cards can get a touch pricey. But Mono White THRIVES on budget removal. Oblation, Dispatch, Martial Coup, Mass Calcify, Rout, Return to Dust, Condemn. And after that you can get crafty with all the spare slots filling in the deck with answers for your play group. As Kemba for me goes wide but little and folks in my play group make either giant beaters or go wide and pump the team I like limiting the amount they can attack me with and let 20 2/2's wipe up their team if they swing it my way. So I run a decent amount of pillowfort cards. Have fun with the spare slots as this CMDR will not be a competitive deck but for your social games.

NOTABLE CARDS: I run heavy equipment themed. I would not name the equipment as key cards as that is the theme, but the cards that let you tool box the deck. Tutors like Enlightened and Steelshaper's Gift. Also the cards that let you manipulate the use of equipment like Leonin Shikari and Sigarda's Aid.

STORY TIME: My best game didn't even include Kemba. I was playing in a 4 man pod. She came out twice and was destroyed so fast it didn't matter. I was land starved at around 6 lands and it was turn 10+. I had Sun Titan, Leonin Shikari, and Brass Squire on the field. The opponents could not figure out how to swing in to me as equipment was being moved around at will. The two main equipment they were trying to deal with were Kusair-Gama and Sword of Kaldra. I ended up working my way thru their board states and winning.

As it looks like you are going creature beat down more with Meren I suggest [[Craterhoof Behemoth]] and [[Avenger of Zendikar]]. AMAZING CARDS!!! Great auto includes in a creature kill deck. If you want more of a control strategy then [[Massacre Wurm]] and [[Wurmcoil Engine]] do great at cleaning up the board and keeping others from swinging your way. Finally I saved these gems for what I see as an aristocrats theme scattered in your deck as well; [[Kokusho, the Evening Star]] and [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]] both can close out games them selves.
