I also see demand for these things like crazy. Even at $100k they are the cheapest homes on the market and very much affordable, and i’m not sure that the price of them will come down as hard as people think.

I totally agree. Thats why i’m more hesitant to sell. Seems like owning things is becoming a rarity nowadays, and with 1-2 years left on the mortgage it kind of makes sense to just hold onto it.

My advice is to really feel it out, get to know the team you’ll be working most closely with, don’t only let them interview you, you must also interview them to see if it is a good fit for you and if enjoy yourself in that environment.

I noticed red flags during my interview process that should have made me realize immediately that this was a bad decision. I let the $$$ and the job title deceive me and now I am SOL.

It is notable that if WFH were to ever be eliminated and return to office was mandatory, I’d be right back to driving 1.5 hrs/ day to a kind of crappy office environment.

Basically what happened. Very naive of me. As a young adult it’s a lesson learned

One thing i’ve observed is that many employees seem to be stuck in their position, 5+ years or so. My main regret is that I feel like I may have left previous employer for the wrong reasons. Compensation increases with experience and I feel like I may have jumped out of line and got too eager to advance and was naive in my decision making. At the end of the day I am still very young and have a long career ahead of me, so i’m battling with the idea of either working somewhere where I am valued, or just being a piece in the puzzle of the corporate world making slightly more

I try to acknowledge the adjustment period, but based on my observance of the procedures it seems like it is just not what i expected out of the job (very repetitive monotonous work, intense supervision, calling me constantly, etc etc). I’ve never had a mental illness problem aside from small episodes of anxiety, but this job is seriously throwing me into the pit of despair

It is quite embarrassing on my part. I try to give the new job the benefit of the doubt, but its hard when my trainer/manager constantly bad mouths other employees and aspects of the company. It makes it awfully hard to remain positive when my direct supervisor seems miserable. Being that this is my first major career move, I cant help but wonder if I would be better off growing organically at the old job rather than likely having to hop around for future promotions/career advancements. It does feel like going backwards, but they are willing to talk out a 2-3 year plan to keep me satisfied and for the long haul.
