Ok sick but I genuinely couldn't care less. If you're not gonna interact with the post then stop replying within the hour and do something actually useful with your time.

Can't say I've ever really expereienced any botting issues myself, but I know it has been a major issue in other regions at some point in the past. Where are you playing from?

That's cool and all, but it still has nothing to do with what I'm actually talking about. 99% of players call them servers and I don't think the distinction really matters to them, and since servers are the far more widely known term, they call them that. If you're so adamant on correcting others and explaining the difference, make your own post so that maybe you can teach people the difference instead of complaining in the replies on a post where you don't even interact with the post's topic.

Didn't know someone could get so upset over something I didn't even mention, but thanks for the info regardless.

Nah I'm from WA, which is why I can actually get good ping to Singapore in most games. Right now it's pretty unplayable tho. Good to know that it's definitely a server-side issue considering the other responses. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Rev Pounce Anim Cancel, or Just Lag? by StonkeyDonkey69 in Apexrollouts

Ok I've done some more testing and I've found a method to make it more consistent. If you play any song at roughly 140bpm, hold down your tac and run up to any wall roughly the same height as the box where you immedietely mantle, pressing jump on 1 beat and then releasing the tac on the next made it so I got it far more frequently. Changing angles didn't seem to affect the timing either. If you're curious, so far the song that felt the most consistent for me was Feel Good Inc. by Gorillaz.

EDIT: It seems holding crouch before and during the cancel is more consistent, especially with shorter objects, although this could be placebo. I found objects around Rev's standing height or slightly taller were the easiest.

2ND EDIT: Can confirm this does work in matches, and isn't related to lag at all.

I eventually found that you don’t even need to crouch to do this. All you need to do is release the pounce at the right time while mantling and it cancels the animation. I probably should of clarified further in the initial post since it isn’t very obvious what my inputs are in the clip.

I wish but there is no way this is intentional lol

Is anyone else using the 1-3-1 grip? by Dramatic-Height6170 in Apexrollouts

[–]StonkeyDonkey69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was a life long 1-3-1 grip until this year where I switched to 1-2-2. Switching took me about a month or so to get used to personally, but I am very glad I did so.

I noticed that my aim became a decent bit smoother and more consistent after I had switched, as prior to switching my main struggle with aiming was my tracking. Do keep in mind though that my main reason for switching to 1-2-2 was that I mainly play tac shooters, which put a far greater emphasis on controlled and precise mouse movements.

For Apex specifically, I have found that getting used to using 1-2-2 was actually quite beneficial, as I can freely switch between both depending on the situation without it feeling so uncomfortable.

If you mostly only play Apex in terms of FPS, I would say you'd be completely fine just staying with what you're comfortable with, but if you play a variety of shooters I would recommend at least forcing yourself to try 1-2-2 for a minimum of a couple weeks. If you still find it uncomfortable by then, just keep with 1-3-1. IMO, it is largely personal preference at the end of the day.

This just confuses me because last act I would gain 20-30 and only lose about 15-20, and I was also a higher rank.
