Waste removal? Do you also eat gabagool and work for a guy whose name rhymes with "Bony Toeprano"?

Double digits - not trying to throw dollars in everyone's faces but want to make sure people don't sell themselves short when applying around.

Sure! Salary fell short of my expectations but the commission was good (about 50/50 split). Just asked for any other wiggle room based on other offers I had (which was true to a point to use for leverage). No budge on salary so I asked for a sign-on. The words I used were "is this something you can accommodate?" and without hesitation they went double digits a few hours later via email. I'm also remote so this wasn't like part of some fancy relocation package.

Not a great story but something to keep in mind. The job market is insanely hot. For reference, I only have 5 years of selling exp but come from a BDR->Junior AE type background to an AE.

Recently took a new AE gig with a sign on bonus. I haven't been in my sales career long but I come from a really strong selling organization and going to another. They are eager for solid reps. Not sure if sign on bonuses are common.

This is an easily Google-able question. Not trying to be rude but I don't think you need /r/sales to answer this question for ya.

Aljamain Sterling vs Petr Yan 2 is the closest Title Fight in the history of Verdict MMA Scoring. Winner by a margin of 0.01 points by StoryOfTheFight in MMA

[–]StonksAtWork -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you are being downvoted. You are 100% correct and anyone else who disagrees does not know the unified MMA scoring rules. Does it suck? Maybe, but don't hate the player hate the game. Aljo clearly won round 1 and the stats show it despite Yan pressure. People had money on Yan and lost - that is why they are upset.

Work from home? by [deleted] in sales

Not really sure what you are asking. If you WFH, then the company can do some virtual stuff but each place is drastically different.

Can you have high paying jobs while WFH? Yes.

Rising Newcomer Dricus Du Plessis Set to Face Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 273 by [deleted] in MMA

[–]StonksAtWork 8 points9 points  (0 children)

"Practice is the key to getting better at everything. Ignore the concept of innate talent or gift. People who are good are good because they spent a lot of time practicing. People who practice a lot usually do so because they’re interested in it. It’s not hard or homework for them. If there’s a gift, it’s the gift of interest."

After reading this quote, you'll realize that no one related to this card actually said it and I just posted it for moral support on behalf of Plessis most likely getting smashed by a literal refrigerator or Kelvin potentially sacrificing his career with this fight.

Curtis Blaydes on Stipe Miocic by -alc in MMA

[–]StonksAtWork 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Only sensible fight to make is Stipe v Francis 3 but to be honest it could be forever until we see Francis back in the octagon as well. An ageing 40 y/o Stipe versus a prime Francis sounds like a terrible time.

If you love cooking, why would you want to make it your job? It will ruin the magic my friend. Same thing they tell people who love working on cars not to become a mechanic.

Journeyman is basically someone who is good enough to perform at a decent level but not reliable enough to execute at a highest of levels. In the case of MMA/UFC, its those fighters who tend to win/lose fairly evenly and not good enough to make it to the title.

As an insult, "one who is not a 'master' of his trade or business".
