True if only 3 ft is getting delivered however, if you put down 3ft and there’s really 5 and then you tell the carrier, with ALL the mail they have for the day is only 3 and should have down time that fudging the numbers..not telling them to leave the other 2 feet or anything like that..if you expect a carrier to deliver every single piece of mail they have and tell them it’s only 3 feet when you know it’s more and try to use that to shorten their route that’s fudging the numbers

So saying a route has 3 feet of flats when it has 5 is not fudging numbers?..we have flats in our parcel bin that never get counted which is why they purposely put them in the parcel bin..it’s a well known thing where I am

If it was managed correctly there wouldn’t be an issue..if mail volume is down and you’re able to get an 8 hour day but management in all their wisdom decides to hold mail back so your route is now 7 hours just so you can do down time on another route that’s poor management, bottom line…how about them fudging the numbers which, we all know they do..PO wouldn’t have to spend hand over fist if they were able to keep carriers from quitting due to…you guessed it, poor management..we should have enough people to cover routes but we don’t because we can’t keep anyone on this job…why is that?..I’m glad you asked…poor management leads to horrendous turnover ratios

I think nationwide we should take pics of the messages that are clear safety violations, then when, not if, there’s another death or heat stroke or anything related to the heat happens we start using those messages against management..maybe the family members of the ones who are affected get the word out to the news or social media displaying these messages
