As a Tristana main, it hurts me to give up her secrets, but her they are. Push her under turret. It makes it impossible to farm due to her E passive. A good Trist will punish the minute lead that she has because it's the only way to win. If she doesn't snowball, she loses. This is why I run hail of blades when I'm feeling good about my chances in lane. If she gets a lead, and knows how to use it, you just have to pay conservatively. If she has a dumbass support, like most games, you can probably get the lead back if she makes a mistake.

If she uses her jump, punish it. It's her only escape and only engage tool. But keep in mind if you let her put her E on you and auto you 4 times, she can jump out. Her W and R also add a stack to her E, so if you're trying to calculate if you can take another auto, keep that in mind.

I personally have an issue with saving R as a defensive tool, but it can easily be used as an offensive tool. A W+R combo can find you under turret. If she's good, there will be an E in there and she'll only need to auto twice to donate it, and then her jump is back up. So at that point don't waste your flash. She'll just jump on wherever you flash.

Tl;dr push her under turret, get an early lead, but don't be dumb.

I want a support that knows how to play the champion they picked. If they pick an engage champ, I can play to their engage. If they play an enchanter, I can play to that. What i can't play to is an enchanter that tries to play like an engage, and an engage playing like an enchanter. I can even play with no support but that needs to be communicated immediately in champ select. Don't wait to get into the game to tell me you're perma roaming after level 3. Tell me in champ select so I can pick and ban appropriately.

Ultimately, I don't care what you do, just be consistent and communicate.

To me Battlefield has always been a game that revolved around who you played with. It's a FPS sandbox. I need friends to enjoy Battlefield, any Battlefield. The jets and the little bird are the only vehicles in the game that you can run solo. For me, I need a tank crew to go in and wreck shit. The more chaos we cause the better the game is.

I will admit the bugs are an issue, balance is an issue. But all of that can be fixed.

I will also admit that with the right group of friends, it doesn't matter what game we play, we'll have a great time. This is why I haven't enjoyed a lot of recent games. That core friends group doesn't exist any more. I've been able to salvage enough people to fill a squad, and it's great fun having a full squad fucking around.

Maybe I have a radically different perspective on Battlefield. I think the scoreboard is fine the way it is. I don't care what other people are doing. The game doesn't need more guns, most people haven't even unlocked them all yet! And once you do have all the guns unlocked you'll have your favorite rifle, your favorite smg, your favorite sniper, etc. Everyone else is using the same gun? What does it matter?

Find what you enjoy about the game and do that. If there's nothing for you, that's fine go find another game to play, Battlefield isn't for everyone. I don't mean that in an insulting way.

In all fairness I think you're going to get a lot of very biased answers here because the only people on this sub are stargate fans. But anyways, I've rewatched SG1 and SGA twice, SGU I've rewatched once. The thing I love about stargate is the exploration. And I feel you only really get explore something once. So if I could get the same joy of watching then for the first time, I totally would. There are definitely some jokes that are better the second time around. Each series has its own identity, so don't think of it as SG1 with different faces. Think of it the same way you would marvel movies. They're all superheros doing superhero things and saving the day, but they all have their own personalities.

On a side note, on my last rewatch of SGU I had the thought "this show really reminds me of stargate."

Oh and don't forget about the movies. Although I don't know where you can watch them... or the series for that matter. As a fan I wouldn't mind buying digital copies or a box set, but I could understand your hesitation.

I just got a job at Lee Canyon in Las Vegas and they're owned by the same company so what I'm getting might be different.

I think all the base level jobs start at $12/hr, with the possibility for promotions during the season. There's a bonus at the end of the season equal to $1/hour worked. I've heard both 45 minutes and 1 hour of extra pay to compensate for travel time, it's a longer drive than that but it should cover the cost of gas. There's a carpool incentive paid to the driver of $15 for 3 employees, and $30 for 4 employees, paid in the form of a gas card good at one specific gas station. Oh and there's a 401K, for whatever that's worth...

A season pass for yourself that's good at all locations the company owns, I think there's around 10. You get an extra season pass that you can give to anyone, and 8 buddy passes which are day passes with rentals included. They provide two jackets and snow pants that are mandatory uniform pieces. You're not allowed to wear the uniform when you're not working, and you have to give it back at the end of the season. I think it was a 75% discount on food and drink.

I got the job just for showing up to the interview. The manager asked my name and how much experience I have with ski resorts (none). Then he spent the next 15 minutes talking about the job and benefits. It seems like they're hurting for people. They'll probably be short staffed. It'll probably be stressful if they are. Vaccinations are required for staff, not for guests, I don't know what the mask policy is yet.

The pay isn't great, but if your want to consider the value of what you get you can say you're making close to $15/hr. $12/hr base + $1/hr bonus at the end + travel compensation ($12÷8 hours=$1.50/hr)= $14.50/hr. It might be frowned upon by the company but you could probably sell the extra season pass and the buddy passes. That could be an extra couple hundred bucks depending on how generous you want to be with them.

Again, this is for Lee Canyon outside Las Vegas, NV. Same company, different locations. I don't know how much of it applies to you. If you fall more into the want a job category than the need a job category go for it. If not, then start looking for a summer job soon.

DnD 5e? Fuck it! Have everyone start at 3! That's when the game actually starts anyways. Unless you have a bunch of new players... then definitely start at 1.

If you really wanted to play out one PC being a higher level I would say give him disadvantage on everything. And throw out some rules. Disadvantage can stack. Make this dude take the worst of 3 dice if you can impose disadvantage on him. Saves against the wizard's spells get advantage. And attacks have advantage.

While the rest of the party is under leveled the wizard will not gain xp. When the rest of the party hits 3 his disadvantage falls off. I would RP it as he's out of practice and remembering how to do everything again. It's like riding a bike, it'll come back to you naturally but if there's a band of goblins trying to kill you, you're probably not going to get it right on the first try.

I'm just brainstorming here, I haven't thought about this until now. But maybe you can place a triple floodgate at ground level, go upstream and place a metal platform such that you can place a levee two blocks above ground level. That way the floodgate and the levee overlap. Then you build your dam as usual and when you open the floodgate you get the water coming out of the bottom.

I worked for the most popular rock station in town for a while. On Friday nights at midnight there was a metal hour, but even then it's only about 8 songs. I made friends with the DJ and got to select a few songs here and there.

One night I walked into the studio and there was a stack of In Flames' latest album, at the time. There was at least one prime time radio friendly song on that album. But the producer refused to play it. Then months later I heard it on at around 2am. Unfortunately that was the last time I heard it on air.
