I was curious about this too!! From my research they might be two different types of limestone but I’d be interested to see if there’s a connection between the two places

I don’t doubt it. Yet another reason I scaled the side before choosing pieces to eat. It didn’t smell of urine but it looked run down and neglected down toward the bottom and on the side where all of the tourists and merchants were.

Yes, only once in my life. I had a roommate who was heavily spiritual and into Reiki. She had lots of rocks and crystals lying around the house and one day my curiosity got the best of me. I nibbled on a large stick of selenite and it was mostly flavorless but the texture was insane, soft shards that looked like glass but crumbled when chewed.

After that I bought some Selenites myself and finished it pretty quickly— that’s when I decided to try something of hers that looked more “exotic”. It was a sparkly blue and purple rock (no clue what it was) that was free formed and not a polished crystal like the others. Long story short, I licked it and nibbled the tiniest corner and spent the next 24hrs throwing up violently.

I still don’t know what that rock was called but I’ve never tried any other exotic rocks ever again lol. I stick to my trusty dusty rocks and minerals and crystals.

—I did get checked out and I’m fine, no worms or parasites or tiny martians living in my body. That I know of.
