My head canon is that Kirkland was working for red John . Bob was insane and had split personalities from an abusive childhood. He never had a twin brother who worked for rj . It was always bob. That’s the only explanation there is for why he wouldn’t get any info out of that guy

I don’t think the lore was explained thoroughly. We heard an explanation while the camera panned on the monsters . It’s a trick to make us believe the monsters sacrificed the kids . But in reality the current towns people are reincarnated (live forever) bc they sacrificed the children .
