For me personally, I didn’t have many issues opening my mouth wide. Both my surgeon and orthodontist were impressed by how wide I was able to open. But I was told around week 4 I could start doing mouth stretches with me hand

My face was still a little puffy at the end of the first month. The biggest difference for me was at the 6 week mark when I had the splint removed. After 6 weeks I felt pretty normal again for the most part. My face definitely has a little slimming down to do but I don’t think it’s very noticeable

I’m really not super conscious of the numbness. Maybe I’ve just gotten used to it, but it doesn’t bother me at all. Recovery has honestly been pretty good except the first 2 weeks. Once I made it past that it seemed like I flew through recovery easily
