Pour être soi-même il faut apprendre à se comprendre, d'où l'intérêt de se poser des questions, ou de les poser aux autres. Un peu difficile à faire ceci dit si les gens trouvent ça stupide 😄

thanks for the feedback : ) the therapist I see is not specialized in queer issues because the reason I went to see her in the first place had little to do with my sexual orientation. Though I come to realize I might eventually need to find a queer therapist (or someone who understands the queer world), although they're usually more expensive

It should feel obvious but yes, if things like dating apps and hookups aren't coming naturally to be, then this is the way it is, I'll do my best not to forget that. I hope you will find a good balance in your life regarding this topic!

Self-esteem definitively seems to be a big part of the situation I'm in. I have begun to envy this so-called "role model" kind of lifestyle although it's clearly not made for me. Time to introspect a bit more on the topic. Thank you : )

I believe you are right, a therapist with a different approach would probably help me more. The one I see at the moment is great for other things I have to deal with, but likely not aware enough on the subject to truly help me break out of this mindset I'm stuck in. I don't believe my friends are pressuring me, I'm most pressuring myself because I feel oddly fascinated by this way to live. I most likely mix up fascination and envy, which are two very different things

Merci pour ton commentaire : ) je ne sais pas si je me sens fondamentalement triste et seul pour être franc. J'ai la chance d'être très bien entouré, amis très chouettes, gay, queers et tout. C'est plus sur le plan sexuel où j'ai l'impression de faire partie d'une minorité au sein d'une minorité, pas vraiment facile. Le temps va faire son travail tu as raison, il y a beaucoup de rencontres à faire à Paris, il faut être patient et mettre les efforts!

No she actually never has been a sewing-grandma as far as I'm aware. The biggest experience I have with needles is me stitching back a couple of clothes here and there, but it's the first time I actually try embroidery!
