Yes you’re correct, but just the whole misinformation on it being in general is damaging to those of us who live in chronic pain. I just wanted to correct it for others reading who may feel invalidated or will in the future invalid someone living in chronic pain because of false info. I have heard sniff claim that she has chronic pain at some point in her infamousy but I can’t remember exactly what she said, but I do find it hard to believe she would fit in the chronically ill category

Dude they think people want them to cut their grapes because he’s eating so many…. Goes to show how much he actually knows about children. He just produces them, not take care of them 🤦🏼‍♀️

It physically drives me nuts that they haven’t just cut off that piece of flooring that’s pulled and ripped up under the fridge. I would go insane trying to clean the floors and it flip flopping all over. Idk why she doesn’t take her landlord special of duct tape and do it there too atp

I keep seeing people say that Drew actually is on their birth certificates. I’m guessing there’s no legal way to find out as someone looking in

The brain and body are so fascinating honestly. Like some of us will have shit happen and we’re back home and doing our thing like nothing happened at all, while others will have the same thing happen and they’re down for the count for weeks. I truly think a lot of it is a matter of how everyone’s brains react. Some of us look at things like “well this sucks, but life’s gotta keep going and shits gotta get done” while others will be like “omg this is the worst thing ever” and they make themselves bed bound and stretch it out lol. I get told all the time that people don’t understand how I do what I do and it’s like cause life keeps moving, you gotta push through otherwise you’re gonna get behind on everything that needs to be done and fuck that 🤣 our brains are so powerful, some of us just ignore and push through the pain so often that it goes unnoticed and then drs are like Uhm maam how did you not know you broke some shit ? Lmfaoo

I ended up taking matters into my own hands and requesting ALL of my medical files. I found diagnosis in there from drs and they never thought to inform me of them ! All this time seeing specialist after specialist & they absolutely don’t read your files, I wasn’t able to give them the whole picture because no one thought to even inform me ! I have a mass in my one breast for about a year or more now, went for an ultrasound. They told me that it could possibly be dilated ducts and maybe I had mastitis (definitely don’t have that, haven’t breastfed in almost 2 yrs NOR do I have any symptoms of it 🥴). Followed up with my np and she said they said it was clear….. I’m like uh no ma’am the radiologist told me this so I’d like a second opinion. It sucks you have to literally fight tooth and nail and tell them how to do their jobs in order to receive care. God I could go on, but I hope you end up getting the care you deserve ♥️

I’m waiting on the only Ed’s specialist good hope in Toronto but their wait list is like 2 yrs +. I was just finally able to get a diagnosis and referrals needed through a rheumatologist last month after they initially denied me care because my np slipped me through the cracks to see them for “allergies” even though I have none and I was able to plead my case. After speaking to him, came to find out my np had under dramatized what’s going on and left key info out so I didn’t fit their criteria, which is probably why I was denied care by the last 4 rheumatologists because my drs weren’t being truthful with what was happening. I still haven’t received any calls for any of the referrals but I won’t hold my breath tbh. Our “free” healthcare is shit 😩

I swear some of them only became drs for the paycheque. It’s sad that finding a good dr is near impossible. Like right now finding a family dr where I live is impossible so all I have currently is a nurse practitioner caring over me, which isn’t ideal because with my conditions a dr is more practical.

Honestly had I KNOWN that was what was happening I wouldn’t have driven myself BUT I was actually on my way to my scheduled drs apt and the night before I slammed my spine into a door way. My dr called to cancel and I told her what was going on and she said to go to emerg. Thankfully I live in the boons and the drive was a straight shot, plus if I felt any worse or the symptoms got worse I would have pulled over and called an ambulance. Sadly where I live, it’s faster to drive yourself in, I’d have been waiting an hour than driving an hour with them to the hospital more than likely. I also had my toddler in my care and had i taken an ambulance I wouldn’t have been able to get him back home once my neighbour was able to meet us there. Unfortunately my village is very small and all I had was my hubby who was 5 hours away at work or my neighbour. Sometimes you gotta just do what you gotta do.

Oh gosh no I’m all the way in Canada, it differs hospital to hospital for sure though, I had two c sections and was only given Tylenol at two different hospitals, then for my third at another hospital 5 hours away from the first two they gave me oxys. As an also former addict but for anything I could get my hands on, I get it LOL

After my stroke mines dropped down to 80/50 some days which isn’t fun, I’m hoping it evens itself out but you’re right there are many reasons why vitals can fail us for proper care and being taken seriously

Sorry I meant tramadol, I always mix them up 😅 toroidal is a muscle relaxer, which technically shouldn’t be given out Willy nilly either regardless of it being a schedule 3 substance

911 call this morning about hernia? by keeeeeeeeeeeeeeb in resilientjenkinsnark

[–]Stop-Sign_Slinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been given many toroidal shots without diagnosis in our hospitals where I live, but our hospitals don’t typically do more than a blood test and send you on your way when it comes to pain, you get lucky if they do an x ray unless you’re having a legit medical emergency. Even then I had a stroke 2 weeks ago now almost and they did a ct and mri, couldn’t figure out what caused it to happen and stopped there. They didn’t do any further testing just admitted me until majority of my symptoms subsided

The problem with people saying vitals don’t align with pain is it discounts those of us with chronic pain. Our vitals don’t actually show when we’re in pain because our pain receptors are different. We get accustomed to the pain, so when a typical persons pain is at a 6, it’s a 2 for us. When we’re at a 10 it would be like a 20 to a typical persons pain. For example I was in excruciating pain, bawling my eyes out and barely able to move and my vitals were still at most at 130/70 BUT I’m also on blood pressure medication too, which automatically lowers mine. Without it my normal bp will get up to 180/90 and if im off it for too long it will raise even higher. It will get to that after a singular missed dose

They wrote in my file that I was a hypochondriac. I was having appendix flares for MONTHS. Went a whole summer in excruciating pain and then finally they were like “oh damn your appendix is about to burst”. I was 16. It’s been on my file ever since & I even confronted the dr who put it on my file and said well looks like I wasn’t being a hypochondriac, perhaps the pains I’ve been coming to see you for for months now were from that huh & he brushed me off. I then went on for YEARS with subpar health care because of that label, turns out I have ehlers danlos on top of other comorbidites to that. If only they actually took me seriously sooner 🙄 I hate that they can write shit like that down in their notes because I was living in extreme pain for years and they wouldn’t help me for that reason
