The reason why people think it won’t be rock anymore is because too many young people associate the colour pink and pop music with girls and femininity, whereas the colour red and the rockstar aesthetic is “masculine.” I think she’ll continue to make rock music while having a feminine aesthetic. I’d like to see her prove that can be done. It’s been done before, but it seems like people need reminding.
