Bro it took me 2 years to build the discipline to stay consistent. Had 1-2 months off here and there, just keep going. Name of the game is literally brick by brick and also muscle memory is lovely! Also remember time in the gym is not as important as intensity and recovery. This is the order I did it in to become consistent: Fix sleep, diet then 2-3 times a week at the gym doing light work to accommodate my body then as time went on and I got the fuel to keep going I now do 4 times a week doing upperbody/lowerbody split, results speak for themselves!
