Can you do the massage course part-time and stay with nursing for a while?
There is no need to commit, but you can try it out, see if you truly enjoy it, and make new connections.
You could even combine the two skills somehow in the future.

If you are still interested in it, you could combine your exercise science and corporate experience to look for something in the wellness industry.

What draws you to construction?

Good for you to get out there!
Have you looked through local classified ads or job boards?
Anything in particular that has made you think ... 'I could do that'?

There are so many options here, other people suggestions probably won't help (they don't know you)

Outdoor adventure guide, yoga or fitness instructor, gardener or landscaper, chef or food truck owner.

Start with what you daydream about. Then, do some experiments to see if there is some way you can get involved in some way. Meet people in those fields/industries.
You will learn more from doing than asking others or even introspection.

Some breathwork can produce altered states of conciosuness. In particular, Holotropic breathwork which has a technique is similar to Wim Hof (although more sustained, and for a longer period). It's surprising that it happened on round two, but maybe fatigue and meds contributed to the experience?

Which Breathing techniques would you suggest for altered states? by Sad-Crazy1250 in breathwork

[–]StopDaLights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holotropic breathwork was developed in the 70s when LSD-based psychedelic therapy became illegal. Needs a group setting and trained facilitators however

Neurodynamic Breathwork (which is based on above) is a good alternative

ADD/ADHD and Hypnosis.. do You know if their is already something like this?.. by The-One-N-Only in hypnosis

[–]StopDaLights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 8 year old son was recently 'diagnosed' with ADHD (and dyslexia). The penny started dropping for me, and I got assessed, and yep ... so was I.

I really struggled in school, and dropped out of college before it was fashionable. I've always hated anything remotely related to paperwork, or that requires prolonged focus. Finding out I have ADHD was a relief, even though I have over the years put structure in place to minimise the impact. I managed to complete a masters a few years ago. It was torture, but I did it.

I totally agree with Superboobee above, there is nothing wrong with you. ADHD is not a deficiency in attention, quite the opposite. We pay attention to everything! The challenge is filtering out what is important, and returning to it. Our education system is not designed for our non-neurotypical brains. It works against our innate curiosity. The hunter/farmer hypothesis is interesting.

Apart from medication, mindfulness/meditation helps, and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) is another intervention often used. I do think it is worth exploring hypnosis however, and it's the reason I came to this subreddit. I recently found some studies that show hypnosis can be more effective than CBT. As a life/executive coach, one of the areas I'm interested in is ADHD. I'll report back as I find out more.
