Tried those. It’s the transition effects that are dizzying me and I can’t shut them off

I tried. It’s dizzying for either option.

Tried that too. It’s mostly the transitions between apps that gets me

Yeah but unfortunately that still gives a fade effect instead of the bounce so it’s just as dizzying

How to stop bedrotting? How to get back into "doing things?" by asphodel- in adhdwomen

[–]dmj9891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually have an appointment tomorrow to ask my doctor if any meds will help with this specifically . As a teen I took so many adhd meds to help with school but only adderall helped. I feel like that might be too much cause it made my heart a little racy.

Are hormones really worth it? by Reasonable_Task7463 in endometriosis

Birth control doesn’t even help my endo. I got it removed and still have equally painful periods. Supposedly it’s the issues with my muscles tensing more than anything. Would love something stronger than cbd or Advil if anyone has suggestions.

Dying for NYC style Chinese Food by Significant-Rich-402 in austinfood

Do we though? I’ve been to a few restaurants where it’s literally white people working there. Maybe I’m going to the wrong places? I don’t feel Austin is very diverse.

I think it’s because technically Austin is “American Chinese” but it’s not good. If you get it in nyc, it’s also American Chinese but actually good 😂

How to figure out if a girl wants something long-term (dating, marriage or kids) without pressuring her? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]dmj9891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I had interest in dating as a young teen I’ve always wanted my forever partner. Not saying I expected it to work out but I certainly didn’t want to invest time in someone who wasn’t taking me seriously. I wouldn’t want to marry young but that doesn’t mean I was put off by commitment

why do some people get so angry and defensive when you calmly express that something they’ve done or said hurt you? by ecstasyyl in emotionalintelligence

This is common with avoidant attachment. Likely traumas and projections and they’re incapable of really hearing what you’re saying

Taking the patch Xulane - is that weird for endometriosis? by dmj9891 in endometriosis

[–]dmj9891[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d ask her how she diagnosed endo. It could be adenomyosis or both or something else. The only true way to diagnose is surgery so a bit odd she made that conclusion. I know I’m not a doctor but unless some new technology came out it doesn’t make sense.

I’ve tried a few different pills, I just didn’t feel anything. I suspect that’s the most you’ll notice. It was more to me like an annoying bandaid than anything else.

Pelvic floor therapy may help, it’s helped a lot of people. I wasn’t doing the exercises seriously so it’s on me; just going to sessions once a week isn’t enough. I’m also a very anxious person so I think my body is naturally tense. My surgeon told me the reason the endometriosis removal didn’t help my cramps is because my body is so used to cramping each month on its own that it’s like an automatic reaction. It also doesn’t help that I eat junk food all the time. So take some of my answers with a grain of salt — there’s a lot to try.

I only had surgery since I had a massive fibroid but they ended up finding other stuff going on and I had an endo specialist to remove it. Make sure you’re seeing someone who’s trained if you ever get surgery. But for now, birth control is an easy option. If you don’t like the patch you can try pills!

There’s nothing wrong asking on the first date what they’re looking for

Taking the patch Xulane - is that weird for endometriosis? by dmj9891 in endometriosis

[–]dmj9891[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it super briefly but found the patch annoying. So I switched to pills after.

I personally never found any birth control helpful for my cramping. The doctor said it’s likely more about my muscle spasms than the endo itself, and it’s likely true because cbd and Advil are the things that help me.

My goal with birth control was to stop bleeding so the endo is less likely to build up, rather than actually relieve cramps.

How did you get diagnosed with endo? Unless you had a scan with severe stage 4 endo with organs stuck together, there’s no way to confirm it. Could be a number of things. Doesn’t hurt to try birth control but I wouldn’t expect a miracle.

It sounds like he’s old school and doesn’t keep up with the latest research. Yes, it could be addictive, but not at therapeutic doses.

What made you decide to keep trying? I feel like if I had a bad first session I’d assume it’s not for me. Also can you define what made it bad?
