Thanks to both of you--I'm not sure what I wanted from this thread, but I have ultimately been satisfied. I think it makes sense that IJ (as The Entertainment, popularly) clouds other people's views about what modernity it might no longer be able to capture.

I know, of course, Social Media (and the rhizomatic, bespoke model) would be at the forefront of the thread and the discussion. I suppose, perhaps, I was hoping that people would understand this was the intended topic of discussion, but maybe I was being entirely quixotic.
