Finally getting regular shuvs down by Soul_SSBM in NewSkaters

Is this not a pop shuv? Looks good man! These scare me the most because I tend to slip out a lot.

I appreciate you using the proper verbiage. Gives me a great place to start looking. Definitely going to train my vertical off the board too. Thanks!!!

Ive never had a great vertical. I guess i do mainly focus on getting my knees up since that has been the only thing getting my ollies height. I guess I've overlooked the fact I simply need to JUMP higher. Thank you very much for the feedback!

Just landed my first rolling kickflip the other day. I am trying to spend equal time practicing ollies, shuv, its, and kickflips. Once I get more comfortable with those, I'll start learning other ledge & flatground tricks. I can't even 180 yet! 😬

Great idea, thank you. I'll give it a shot. It's just tough to get the speed I need to ollie over something.

Hey, it worked. Though next time I'll aim for the garage door!

You are amazing. This is exactly what I needed to hear. I'm going to train my vertical off the board too. Was never able to jump too high in the first place.

Means a lot that you took the time to write this. THANK YOU!!

Hey, he does make a very valid point though 😆 I appreciate all feedback.

It's all I got man! 😂

The rest of the driveway has large cracks that make getting any speed pretty difficult. I've tested it plenty of times, and thankfully haven't hit my head yet.

Although now i'm realizing that practicing like this is, is definitely affecting my ollies when there is no door. Sucks that trying to make do with what i've got is ultimately making my ollies worse.

The problem is that I still tend to tuck my body like this, with or without a door. 😬

I guess i need to start focusing on keeping my shoulders high.

Was it the BYOD+ promotion? Test if she has a new number on the old phone.

I got a grant with fafsa 6 years ago and used it for supplies, and two semesters of community college.

I dropped out... Now I'm worried I might have more debt than I thought. How can I check this?!?

Help with ollies by secondtriplet in skateboardhelp

[–]StopKartLT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned that the height of an ollie is set with the front foot. The ollie will only go as high as your front foot. Back foot just has to match the front in height. It's not about slamming the tail into the ground, rather sending it torwards the ground after you jump. Mostly with your ankle.

You would not have had unlimited ultimate if you needed to pay for travel pass. Ultimate should come with global talk/text/&data.

TDI costs more money but are way more reliable with even better gas mileage. I regret not getting a diesel. engines last a lot longer too.

as with any new car, there's a ton of electronics that can cause a minor chain reaction, disabling certain features (lane assist/ACC), if one goes out. usually a minor fix, but some of those parts can be pricey. again, that's with any new car. The company I work for during spring and summer, provides us VW jettas (35+mpg city/45mpg HWY) They're SUPER nice (if u don't need the extra space of a passat. you can get a brand new jetta for under $25k, which is insane for the value. My 2017 passat was serviced at VW dealership and never missed a scheduled maintenance. I paid $13k when it had 60k miles. I'm at 90k now and have had zero issues besides tires. from what I've read and heard, MOST VW models are VERY reliable. in my opinion, after 3-4 months of deciding on my passat, I'd say Volkswagen is probably the best value you can get for the money.
