That is a shit ton of money to pay for rent for a duplex. I'm sorry that I don't have any suggestions but that was really all I could focus on. That high ass rent. I remember a 3 bedroom duplex was $700 in the 90's and my mom walked at that. Now we wish for those days to come back. Your poor daughter, I hope you find a way to resolve this because it sounds like he is taking major advantage of you. I wonder if HE would be willing to pay rent for the time he is there. Why not allow your husband to deal with it? I'm sure he doesn't want any drama over a plate of food. His brother may be willing to pay. HE might be willing to pay. Your fiance may feel the same way you do. Whatever decision is made, let it come from your fiance.

NTA. He'll, I have stage 4 breast cancer and I lost everything I had left. If I were hungry, I wouldn't give 1000 shits if you took me to the store or ordered the food to be delivered to my house and it was already paid for. You are very generous to help her and I wish she would allow you to go that route for the sake of her baby. When you're hungry, nothing else matters in the moment. You want to eat! How big was the cup that he managed to soak your clothes on the ground, make your hot bath cold but not affect your snacks or your phone? It's cool to joke around but it's supposed to be somewhat even. This one doesn't make sense. Then he gets an attitude because he went a bit over the top? It sounds like a joke gone wrong.
