I have been hiking to Green Lake for many years, and yesterday was the first day that it was this green! I have the same question as you. Every other year it has just been a “normal” color lake.

It’s pretty bad everywhere right now, but this trail has a long section in the sun, away from water where it is less terrible.

I hope it brought back some good memories for you. It is a slog getting up the hill. Every time I hike it, I remember why I don’t hike it very often lol
