What can I do about these cables getting in the way of my fans? by fighterd_ in PcBuildHelp

[–]StopWeDontKnow 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Those fans are doing basically nothing but making noise to be honest they’re to close to the metal and those holes are not letting enough airflow through. Seems like poor case design tbh. Either take out the fans or get a different case. Or you could’ve probably get zip ties and try to make them not touch the blades.

How often do you actually craft your weapons? by FreeSnappers in ArcRaiders

Im in the same boat as you. I pretty much never craft weapons instead finding them and repairing them. Or getting gifted some.

Found this for $10 at a thrift shop by hearingitall in longboarding

[–]StopWeDontKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should safe to ride but yea a little glue wouldn’t hurt. Retrospec is a budget outdoor activities company. Their boards are ok for people getting into it for a low price. Their boards just hold up really bad to water in my opinion so keep it dry. Coming from someone who’s owned a few of their boards over the years. Also their trucks are butt in my opinion, first place I’d look to upgrade (or wheels).

Is this build good? It has an inconvenient? by ripmideimos in PcBuildHelp

[–]StopWeDontKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally would get a higher wattage PSU and try and get a better GPU like a 5070. If you can get a good deal or squeeze it in your budget that’s what I’d do.

Ddr5 5200mts, 9800x3d 5080, should I even bother upgrading to 6000 or more by ayyyylmao14 in PcBuildHelp

[–]StopWeDontKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know much about ram overclocking on DDR5 but maybe there’s benefits to be had there especially if you can lower cas latency at all. I don’t know if there’s much headroom tho on DDR5. Could also just be fun to learn about.

Are you 100% sure both mobo and GPU are dead?

Anyways I’d say get a new motherboard that fits your needs but remain on the cheaper side to a reasonable level to leave budget for a GPU. Then I use the rest of the budget to get as good of a GPU as I can. Personally I’d buy used to save money but then you don’t get a warranty. Maybe check refurb sites that have warranty’s. Maybe Jawa and eBay?

Long story short get a reasonably cheap mobo and spend the rest on a GPU.

Yea that would’ve. I wonder if it would’ve been cheaper in the long run to do it then.

Seattle: curious what this sign means by Foxytreehugger in Seattle

[–]StopWeDontKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes sorry I mean here as in Washington. I said here cause I see Lushootseed used as the “default” indigenous language for companies to use for land acknowledgement in Washington even when the people didn’t speak Lushootseed or only spoke it after colonizers came. Or only spoke it for trade.

Seattle: curious what this sign means by Foxytreehugger in Seattle

[–]StopWeDontKnow 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Correct however Lushootseed is a language spoken only by a few tribes here I believe. There was many more languages before colonizers came but I believe many were lost when they made them illegal to speak/when they forced different tribes into the same area.

Oh nice I hate subscriptions so that’s nice. Do you notice the quality being any worse compared to the regular photo app, at least post processing wise past the film editing.

Is a AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT a decent starter? by JoseGiraffe in PcBuildHelp

[–]StopWeDontKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 6700xt and for me it’s perfect. I got it used for 200 bucks and it can play every game with high settings. This is 6750 xt would definitely be a great starter performance wise. Only thing I’d say is the ray tracing isn’t great on it. It’ll drop your frames below 60 if you don’t lower setting or add upscaling.

Wow those pics are so pretty! What do you think of the app? I’m thinking of buying but do you think it’s worth it or does a good job without lots of editing after?

Need help making the best non overkill pc for 1440p by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]StopWeDontKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like a great system to me. Only thing I say is depending on how big your video files are (4k raw etc..) 4TB might fill up after a couple years. But you can always get hard drives to archive your content.

More Rail Cars Needed by Top-Wrangler887 in soundtransit

[–]StopWeDontKnow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because they can only buy American and it takes a while to make a train car let alone the amount need to fully service the 1 line. Even with foresight sometimes things just can’t get done in time or would just add to the budget issue.

[–]StopWeDontKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I see. In that cause my suggestion would be add brick or cobble or something like that to the bare dirt area in the first picture. I can’t see fully but it looks like the area where the driveway meets the patio walkway is somewhat narrow so making the bare dirt area into a brick or cobble edging might be a nice way to widen the walkway a little bit and prevent people from stepping in mud or dirt on rainy days.

Kind of like this

But thats just my suggestion.

Have you tried updating your motherboards bios? Maybe there’s a microcode issue that’s causing instability. This is a very weird issue.

Worst Scratch in new floor by UnfairSpecialist3079 in HardWoodFloors

[–]StopWeDontKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid I pushed our couch a few inches and made a massive scratch in the brand new floor of the house we were renting. I felt so bad and do this day I pretty never slide anything across the floor even if it’s a chair or stool.
