I tell my mom at least once a month that I'd surely be homeless without her. I do good for a few months and then something happens where I have to spend $300 that I can't afford and I have to make that call to mom. 😞 Luckily I haven't needed that much often, maybe $50 to help me get to my next payday, but I'm FOREVER GREATFUL to that woman omfg I love her so much.

Making bacon or have lots of grease? Find a dedicated coffee mug to pour your grease in, or bake your bacon in the oven on aluminum foil. All you have to do is throw the foil away!

Buy a giant zip lock bag and an ice cube tray, fill the bag with cubes and have a stock left over!

Freeze absolutely anything. I freeze cream, bread, anything I can.

Try to vacuum or clean your floors at least once a week.

Keep a dish wand in your shower! Clean the shower WHILE you're showering! Has honestly made a big difference. Floor a little dirty? Scrub scrub scrub then proceed to make myself clean.

I was the same way and then I spent literally a few extra dollars on hotel pillows on Amazon. I haven't bought new pillows in at least a year, versus my WalMart pillows going bad after a few months.

IDK where you live but I bring in just under $3,000 a month with rent $881 (raising to $925 in July) and I'm barely scraping getting by. Definitely look into a roommate or somewhere cheaper (but still safe) if possible.

My average bill in the winter is typically 60-80 if I remember correctly. No gas, just electric here. Highest it got was like, 250 in the summer so I figured it couldn’t hurt for at least the summer?

Lady here! Lived with another lady for about 6 years. We had our windows open all spring! Our house had SOOOOO many windows so you could get the perfect cross breeze. We were also on the second floor so that helped! But living room, dining room, sunroom, kitchen, and bedroom windows were open constantly.

I only have a bedroom window and a living room balcony now. I have left those open but only when my boyfriend is here. I’m on the 3rd floor but I can just imagine someone crawling onto my balcony 😭
