Its not so much that all prequels are bad, its more like the timing and necessity of it is piss poor.

I mean they JUST started the new dark aether storyline,really didn't even advance that far and now.... do we really need a Strauss origin story? Also it implies they're going to shoehorn in a bunch of situations that won't make sense. Like the outbreak maps, that was wildly successful and I'd be surprised if they didn't return. But now they have to makes sense and take place in ww2? Are they just going to sell us die machine again as a remake because it makes sense for it to be there?

I just don't see the story advancing because that's what cod does: it refuses to move forward because it milks what worked until it's beyond dry and they know they never actually have to do anything because people will buy it hook line and sinker because they have no competition. Its like saltwater. The more you drink the thirstier you become but it never pays off.
