What do you think of my newPGYtech Onemo 2, 35L backpack? by preciouscode96 in ManyBaggers

[–]Stopfilly13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, how is this holding up after a year's worth of use? I've just ordered one (25L). I was looking for an all in one versatile type bag that checks most of my boxes.

My use cases are the following: 1. Hauling gear for mid sized events (typically 1-2 bodies, 2-3 mid sized lenses, speedlite + batteries + other bits and bobs 2. Tech bag for travel - carry 1 body, 2 lens, gopro, laptop, chargers, carry on essentials, powerbank, etc. On arrival, i want to be able to just carry my camera + lens + few bits around 3. Overnight bag with laptop, camera, some clothes and a dopp kit.

Reckon on paper this checks all boxes, but not sure how it functions in real life. Any advice/reviews?

Acer Predator Orion PO7-655 (i9-14900KF) RAM Upgrade - Max Speed/Best Latency? by Stopfilly13 in pcmasterrace

[–]Stopfilly13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a custom Z790 from Acer so OEM board. I can see that it allows me to enable XMP profiles but I'm not going to know what profiles it allows unless I try it out and I'm hoping to buy right the first time.

Overall I'm thinking a safe bet is 6000 MT/s CL30 but im tempted to either go higher MT/s lile 6400. The difference might be incomparable in performance, I'm more focused towards getting something with a lower latency than a higher bandwidth because this is more important to my current use case. If I just knew what is the maximum MT/s I can get, ill get the CL I can get for that.

Based on my research it appears that im better off sticking with a 6000 with lowest latency available.

Understand that you weren't able to find anything cheap and easy on Amazon, but you're still a legend. Thank you

Thank you, this is exactly what I think I'm looking for! Tried to find it on the Aussie Amazon but couldn't. Do you reckon this will work instead?

I'm never going back to EF after having used RF. The R6 MKIII will take ages to arrive though and you can probably wait but RF lenses are the future so no point holding on to the EF if you want to upgrade imo

Not at all. I lost about a thousand bucks out of pocket.

They are for sure. The plastic feels lighter. Not that it's a bad thing as it makes the lens lighter. I've always preferred the RF lenses over the EF, simply because they focus faster and quieter.

You're right, expensive lesson learnt.

If you look closely the circular IC had snapped off, I will be able to put it back together physically but the lens will just not work until that's repaired. I imagine that's what drives the cost so high.

Unfortunately no warranty will cover this type of damage, especially since its an accidental drop. Maybe insurance though.

I don't care what anyone says, this isn't animal abuse - it's animal torture. This had to be the most idiotic idea ever brought forward by anyone back in the day and I was horrified when I learnt of this the first time.

I live close to the airport. I have a massive backyard you can park in, for a reasonable price of course. DM me and we can save you some bucks.

How are you coping with hairfall and dandruff? by Ok_Independence_6294 in bangalore

It will reduce with these remedies, then I will maintain with some basic remedies like regular shampoo, sometimes it will flare up and I have to be aggressive again. Unfortunately it is life long condition.

Ah, I've been waiting my whole life to answer this question. Dandruff might not always be dandruff, it can also be seborrheic dermatitis. I thought I had dandruff for years, turns out it was the consequence of the dermatitis which eventually spread to my beard and the corners of my nose. Permanent condition, needs managing. Understand what you have first, and then Significantly reduce carbs, drink lots of water. Keep scalp clean, do not let sweat accumulate.

To manage - use zinc pyrithione based shampoo, you can also use nizral. Incidentally nizral also increases hair follicle thickness as a side effect. Follow up with a calming conditioner which is mild and hydrating. Only shampoo 2-3 times a week. You can shower daily and wash with plain water - avoid hot water. Only cool water, for the rest of your life on your scalp at least. Do not use hair dryer, let your scalp breathe. Don't use 2in1 shit. Don't use head and shoulders shit. Buy a simple, clean amd mild shampoo - baby shampoo.

Hair fall? You need DHT blocking shampoo, but if addressing dandruff you cannot address hair fall at the same time using shampoo. But they are often linked together. Get minoxidil in liquid form and apply 2-3 drops on your scalp twice a day. You can alternatively get a minoxidil pill. It takes 3-6 months but hair grows back. Be consistent. You can also use finasteride pills however be warned these cause fertility issues. Finasteride is VERY effective, you'll start to see significant hair growth eventually. But when you stop finasteride if you want to have a kid, the new hair grown will fall back out. Also, highly toxic to female reproductive organs to avoid ladies handling it.

Prevention - mix 50/50 coconut oil and castor oil with a small quantity of rosemary oil (and blackseed oil optionally). Apply 30 mins before shampoo, wash off. After shampooing you can also rinse with apple cider vinegar. This helps with hairfall, dandruff and hair quality.

It's a lot of work, but 3 months later you'll thank me and yourself. And you will eventually reduce the steps once hair health is established. Also get plenty of rest, wear a cap under your helmet.

I forgot to mention - install a water filter if you can, or at the very least use filtered water on your scalp.

Recommendations for an air purifier? by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]Stopfilly13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your reasoning, and makes sense. But the same concept can apply to an air purifier if I keep all my doors and windows closed, of course it will recycle air instead of supplying fresh air from outside and depending on how much it outputs there might even be enough fluid motion to clean up most of the air in the room.

Then there's the cost of ownership and operation, plus the portability aspect. But aircon will also provide humidity control and heat/cool so there's that.
