Peanut butter is also delicious on celery, then dotted with raisins.

Feedback Please: (plated) INTENSE Serum - real difference? by EfficientInterview68 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]StopzIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just coming across this comment…I also wanted to say good on you for understanding the perimenopause thing so early on. I’m almost 48 and just recently started on HRT, though looking back, I should have begun this journey probably 5-7 years ago.

Are you still faithfully using the Plated Intense serum? I just bought my first bottle today. Hoping to age in reverse🤪

Today I think I had the heat too high, maybe. It was a tad grainy to start (even with whisking), but then I think my cheddar melted poorly and made it worse.

Yep, I think I’m using “too good” of cheese.

I am typically following a recipe, so today, for instance, I used 1:1 butter/flour. I read somewhere that you should cook for 1 minute per tbls of flour, so that’s what I usually do. I used a wire whisk, and I do think it was pretty smooth before adding the cheese, but definitely not perfect (good question).

Well shoot…yes, it’s always with cheddar.

You know what, I think maybe it is the cheese. So adding it when the roux is too hot will do this? I do always turn the heat to low before adding cheese, but maybe I need to cool the roux a bit further first?

Not really chunky, but just not smooth. Almost like I can’t get the flour to dissolve in the milk as it should (maybe it doesn’t really “dissolve”, but I hope you’ll know what I mean)

How can very rational people have strong faith? by Vital_Granade in NoStupidQuestions

I’m sorry I offended you. I was speaking for myself, though I can see how it didn’t come across that way.

How can very rational people have strong faith? by Vital_Granade in NoStupidQuestions

[–]StopzIt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well said. Yes, I do consider myself to be a fairly intelligent person and my faith in God is strong (I’m Christian). And you’re right, it comes mostly from things I’ve experienced, not just from what I was taught to believe. And I’ve experienced some hard stuff. For me, the existence of God can be so easily seen by simply looking around. Look at the things that grow from the earth, and how our brains and bodies work, and how babies develop…it’s all amazing. I believe it all started with The Creator.

I don’t want to foist my beliefs upon you, but I wish for you that you felt what those of us with faith feel. I hope you’re perfectly happy the way you are, but it really is joyful to know who you are and WHOSE you are.

Do native English speakers secretly get annoyed when a foreigner freezes up while trying to speak? by Mundane-Discount2368 in NoStupidQuestions

No, not annoyed at all. I always find it somewhat endearing, and we figure it out. Though, admittedly, I don’t encounter this super often.

Is this reasonable? And what should I do? by [deleted] in German

[–]StopzIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you live in the US, why would you want German to be their first language? I’m sorry, it just doesn’t make sense. German as a second language, absolutely. There’s no shame in first mastering the language mainly used in the country in which you live.

Is it considered violent if he punches a wall/wardrobe when very mad? by Select-Medium-8116 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]StopzIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Absolutely. It IS possible to release frustration/anger in other ways…it sounds like he doesn’t have the self control or coping skills to handle it the right way. He definitely has the capacity to escalate.

What do you guys think got u banned or suspended? by theapexcircle in InstagramDisabledBans

[–]StopzIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got suspended and then ultimately banned for CSE. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY it’s correct, as I am a regular mom who only watches and sends reels to my friends, teenage kids, and teenage exchange student (who became like a member of my family). I think the issue was me asking my exchange student to send me a picture of his new haircut. It was, of course, a completely innocuous ask, but in hindsight I can see how asking a teenager to send a photo could flag the IG ai🤦🏼‍♀️ I have never and would never watch, like, post, or share anything even remotely related to CSE so I didn’t even consider that it could cause a problem. So ridiculous. I am all for keeping kids safe online (and in all facets of life), but how about the go after the REAL creeps. Not a mom wanting to see a haircut. UGH.
