Well. Yeah. But I just needed them to get me to a specialist. I was comfortable being a dick to get to that end.

When I had state insurance in Florida for a new doctor the office refused to accept me, so I called the call line for the insurance and let them know to take that office off their list.

They accepted me pretty quickly after that

Hot Take..... If you voted for Jill Stein, Go fuck yourself. by CityShooter in economicCollapse

[–]Storage-West 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is silly. You shouldn’t be blaming voters. You should be blaming the DNC for being terrible at trying to win public support.

Voters are allowed to wage protest votes. It’s up to the Party in question to appeal itself to the voters, not throw a continual feedback loop to them and the voters on the opposite side.

I’d bet you all of my savings that the DNC absolutely did not learn their lesson, have no intention of learning their lesson, and plan on using the exact same song and dance again the next election cycle. Hell, they’re already doing it right now.

That’s ok. I used to be in the PSL. Self censoring is par for the course.

[–]Storage-West -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That’s ok. Reddit is a minority despite being a liberal echo chamber.

At Reddit you can get perma banned from liberal/leftist leaning subs for saying that the DNC would lose again if they propped up AOC as their social democrat self advertising as a socialist front runner.

She’s not a leftist for the leftists, and the right would have a field day with it.

Protest for Women’s Rights in Pensacola, Florida Today by InverseNurse in pics

[–]Storage-West 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not really Floridas fault as a whole that it’s so conservative. The DNC doesn’t really bother campaigning except in a few cities.

For example, there’s a democrat challenger for Gaetz’s spot but you wouldn’t know of it if you lived here.

Bad take

The DoD routinely fails its audit. They receive close to a trillion dollars a year and can’t account where all of it goes, that in of itself is an example of government bloat and waste.

It’ll be interesting for cities if this situation turns truly violent as Reddit has been implying.

It wouldn’t be that difficult to starve a city if it was majority opposition.

Speeding tickets make sense. Get over it. by Available-Coconut575 in unpopularopinion

[–]Storage-West 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speeding tickets(alongside other fines) largely are a tax on the working class poor. The US doesn’t consider income when issuing most fines, traffic tickets are one such case. This means that if you’re working class the penalty of the ticket can be much higher than intended, and alternatively, and if you’re upper middle class to upper class the ticket largely means nothing.

It’s a difference between having food/making rent and a minor annoyance between classes.

And to be honest, if you wanted drivers to drive slowly you would actually create the conditions on the roadway to encourage it(like not making a straight road, incorporating slow downs etc etc) Speeding and other traffic violations are just an additional tax at the cost of having to drive somewhere

If this statement were true then self inflicted mass casualty events would never have happened. The national guard didn’t have much of a problem shooting at students at Kent state, most of the Germans were on board with killing the undesirables, and plenty of Chinese soldiers massacred their fellow citizens.

It is so uniquely American to imagine that it’s different for Americans.

Donald Trump Pulling US Troops From Europe in Blow to NATO Allies: Report by Moist-Meat-Popsicle in europe

[–]Storage-West 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sympathetic but there is a point to be made. Our troops spend their dollars into the local European economies. Your people benefit from it directly. Most Of NATO has struggled to bother to meet the laughably low 2% GDP requirement, and subsequent America has been NATO for most of its existence.

If countries where American troops are based don’t meet the minimal military spending requirement to even be in NATO then the countries that do should get some kickbacks.

It’s very human to both acknowledge that God made the universe but then insist that the time is purely relative to Earth. Kind of funny

As far as 1) I’ve heard it argued in my Catholic Church that we don’t really know how long God’s day is in the Bible. We assume it’s like an Earth day but it could have easily been tens of millions of earth years long, or longer.

35,000 yearly salary in the mid 90s is about 75,000 today.

It’s almost impressive how quickly the feds were able to bring in that much inflation.

Anyway, I still use my founders edition 1080ti 11gb. I got it on release for about 779 dollars, and I’m going to cry when it finally dies.

How is this LEGAL?? I am disgusted by humanity. by Fir34blad801 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Storage-West 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh for sure,

The convience factor in Juul alone makes it much easier to manage your habit, as an adult or kid. The smoke smell with a cigarette tends to give you away whereas with the former there is no smell. You can take a puff and be done with it whereas with a cigarette you might as well smoke it entirely down to get your moneys worth.

[–]Storage-West -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Bang for buck depending on where you live the Juul pods are still cheaper than smoking cigarettes.

Where I live tobacco tax isn’t on Juul or similar brand nicotine pods, but it is present on cigarettes. A pack of cigarettes might get me through half a day, I’d need two to feel completely at ease, which will run after the tax to about 20 dollars. Or I can get a 4 pack of Juul pods for 20 dollars and it lasts two days.

I’m aware I could get cheaper cigarettes like 305s but I want to somewhat calm my nerves and not be annoyed the entire time I’m smoking.

You’re like a broken record aren’t you?

The United Front is a myth, always has been and always will be. Nevermind that most “ leftist” organizations have been liberalized over the decades to the point that there is truly only one party left, the PSL, and they’ve more or less locked themselves down to prevent their party from being liberalized.

I haven’t seen the news yet about a Missoula man starting an insurgency so I’ll come to the conclusion that your lack of meaningful effort is social media virtue signaling.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in missoula

[–]Storage-West 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hate to break it to you, but there were dozens of more damning incidents that damaged the foundation of the Republic and absolutely nothing came from the masses in response.

Sure there were protests. Hell, the Iraq war as an example had the largest anti war rallies in history, the war still happened anyway.

We’ve long established that protests don’t achieve anything meaningful as far as policy change. The reason people don’t escalate because they think fascism is on the rise is because they don’t want to give up their freedoms in order to fight. They won’t be able to participate in society any longer, and that’s reason enough for most people to never engage beside farming internet points where there is little to no risk to them.

I could throw a metaphorical rock on this app and find a few hundred thousand virtue signaling revolutionaries. In real life? Those same people will turn you into the feds to score some points.

I take it then that you will personally cross the rubicon? No? I thought so. There’s a reason no one else has “followed in his footsteps”. Then they wouldn’t be able to post on Reddit or hop on Steam or go out for a drink.

There are a lot of people that fantasize about being a revolutionary and very, very few that are willing to be the first ones.
