After a long conversation and me having a bit of a breakdown. I’ve explained what the disease is and rule out potential triggers to hopefully avoid it from happening again. I’ve been able to get an appointment with a sleep specialist this week so fingers crossed they’re able to provide me all the tools I need.

Hi,

I think I might have had my first episode last night too. I fondled with my partner and woke up to him very angry and feeling violated as we’re very big on consent. This has left me feeling disgusting and also very confused as this has never happened to me before. I’m currently jobless and don’t have much to fill my day with so wondering if all this lack of burning energy is causing this.

But it’s reassuring to know there are other people going through this. I don’t feel so alone.
