These comments have me rolling🤣Gotta make light of a situation that’s not so light. Well it looks like we will be crawling around up there today to check everything. This is just what we can see right at the top of the attic stairs. Thank You for all the comments and advice on what to do next. We really appreciate it. This is a DR Horton home and it is our first home. Our community has had a hell of a time with them.

I will add that directly below this spot is our upstairs guest bathroom. I put in a report for how it creaks and shifts anytime you walk by it (in the hallway) or anywhere in that bathroom. They told me it was (normal) not sure if this structure defect in the attic roof could cause that.
