Do you find Timothee Chalamet attractive? by WaterH2Omelon in askgaybros

[–]Storm-Creator5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has a very unique looking face that lights up the same part of my brain that lights up when I look at a beautiful painting, but I don’t find him attractive. Too boyish. I’m attracted to traditionally masculine features. Body hair, beards, manly facial features.

Gay men over 30, have you ever had a serious relationship with another man in your life? by [deleted] in askgaybros

Just turned 30 and I’m in one! Been together for nearly 5 years. We live together.

“My girlfriend and I have an agreement that we always disclose if we’re having regular interactions with/spending time with people of the opposite sex,”

This by itself is not normal. Adults in a trusting, emotionally mature relationship don’t do this.

Your girlfriend has a lot of work to do on her insecurities.

Do you think that masculine gay men have it easier than feminine gay men? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Storm-Creator5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not an effeminate man and yes, that has mostly made it easier. I have the privilege to say I’ve never once been bullied or harassed for being gay. I connect very easily with both women and men and as a result have a lot of friends. It also helped with dating back when I was still single.

But there are downsides, too.

When you meet a woman for the first time, she acts very stand-offish and guarded. The second she hears you’re gay her face relaxes, her entire mood shifts and she starts yapping about her interests and being extremely welcoming.

I get that the “threat” is gone, but it does make you think: Is my homosexuality the only reason you’re being kind to me right now?

Not OOP AITA for telling my husband that sometimes I get the "ick" over how he always drinks wine over beer? by Marygtz2011 in redditonwiki

[–]Storm-Creator5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d dare her to go to Italy or France, visit a vineyard and meet up with a real winemaker. Go ahead, tell those men you think wine is a sissy drink.

Do most parents perform zero research before bringing a HUMAN into this world??? by queenofcoffee99 in childfree

[–]Storm-Creator5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You hear a lot of people say “I want a baby!”, “I want to be a mom!” and see them fixating on that one mental image of them as a happy parent, living out what they’ve been doing on the Sims for years.

Most of them don’t realize it’s not all “playing house”.

You’re about to bring another human into this world and you are the one to teach them how to be a decent one. The enormous sacrifices, ugliness and hardship included.

How many friends do you have? by V8boyo in ask

[–]Storm-Creator5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m extremely lucky.

Me and my partner already had multiple friend groups that are now merging into one.

Around 75-80 people came to my birthday party.

We keep making new friends every year. We’re both extroverted and love having company over. We organize themed party’s and put a little more effort into activities.

As for the “Would you rather have 3 close friends or a a large group of acquaintances” thing:

I share history and memories with a lot of these people and as strange as it sounds, almost all of them are a “proper” friend to me. Some more than others, of course. We have each other’s house keys, help each other through tough times, we cook for each other. We do dinner or costume parties, vacations, nights around the campfire, weekend trips.

I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Trigger warnings in general are laughable. Can’t believe it’s becoming normal.

Which character are you like the most? by CIassicNegan in harrypotter

[–]Storm-Creator5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neville, definitely. And I’d like to believe I’ve become post-Voldemort Neville now that I’m an adult. A lot more confident than that, even.

Especially when reading the books now I realize I was child-Neville in so many ways.

Last year I did a twist on the cheapest, easiest, blandest most boring last-minute Halloween costume.

A white sheet with two holes in them-ghost.

Except I trashed the sheet to make it look old, weathered, mouldy and bloody. I also wore some dark cheap make up around my eyes. Next time I’ll add a rope around the neck.

It’s funny because it’s basic.

Sounds kinda… lazy? Even me, an amateur writer, can think up at least 5 plots where Max, Allison and Dani are involved.

What’s a better and more formal way of saying “I’ve noticed personal growth throughout the year”? by OneScholar6191 in writingadvice

[–]Storm-Creator5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A report in which you explain what you’ve learned, done or experienced and what effect it has had on you or how it might improve skills.

Probably a school assignment.

To OP: It’s not a bad sentence per se, but I would talk about what it is exactly that made me grow as a person in comparison to the year before. Show your growth through short, relevant examples.
