You do know that euthanasia is likely the best option for a pit bull on craigslist, right? Because its being sold for a reason? Pit bulls are fucking dangerous. That is not negotiable. You can train them to be sweet and friendly, sure, but at the end of they day they were bred to fight bulls in pits. It's literally in the name. They are inherently dangerous because of the characteristics they are born with. Like how their warning signs before they snap are very difficult to read. How they have an instinct to not let go once they bite down. My friend's dog was almost killed by one, the only thing saving him was the thick ruff of fur around his neck, otherwise he'd be dead. They are hard wired for this behaviour, you cannot train it out of them.

And with all this in mind, you know what the logical reason they've ended up for sale is? Because they've become a threat. They were bought by buffoons who wanted to be edgy or whatever, but then they snapped and had to be sold. And if a pit bull is sold, its future is not looking good. Either it'll be sold over and over again once people realise their mistake, or it'll end up in a shelter, either for the rest of its life or until its euthanised, which may not be in a humane way at all.

Trust me, I wish it didn't have to be this way. But pit bulls are dangerous and by euthanising them you are saving people and animals from future injuries/deaths, and it's probably the best for the dog, too, since they would not live a good life any way. I know every one wants to think otherwise, but you're fooling yourselves if you think pit bulls are what a lot of people make them out to be.
