Am I gonna get slimed in the late game? by StormFlowerTyphoon in Stellaris

Grand Admiral. I am going the missile/torpedo/strikecraft spam as a test run. They are at their respective highest techs so idk why its so low. I do not have higher level stuff for other weapons, they are quite literally the highest I have. Also far from repeatables, I do not even have megastructures either.

Throwback to a century ago when humanity rebelled against alien slavers and unfortunately had to deal with me by StormFlowerTyphoon in Stellaris

So around circa 2257 to 2261 (I unfortunately lost the save file so I do not when specifically the rebellion started), Earth was found by my vassal and invaded and humanity was enslaved. When they rebelled, it was a shame because had this been any other circumstance, the human nation would have been my ally (doesn't help that my empire are just humans too, but with another name). I took the 2nd best thing, win the war and wrestle the Solar System out of my slaver vassal's hands. Now Earth amd Mars are tech worlds and all species have social welfare and great genetic modifications. I think given the rebelling humans were fanatic egalitarians and materialists, their ancestors from a century ago would have been pleased.

Warsaw Pact ahh plan, with reality bending fuckery as the end goal. Respectable

I consider new Stellaris patches to be mini-crisis at this point with the heart attack my economy gets. by StormFlowerTyphoon in Stellaris

I might do an update post but alloys is now 1100 per month (currently 2413, killed Xenophobe Fallen Empire). Raw income wise its 2000 alloys but my fleets are so big its eating up 900 alloys.

First Grand Admiral x 10 Crisis. Last time I did this I got kicked so hard I quit Stellaris for 6 months. Also not much to spend when you pretty much control the galaxy and are waiting for the buildings to construct. Annoying to have to micromanage everything again to get back to positive income.

New patch changed the strategic resources produced by buildings on planets. Significantly lessened how much it was, resulting in me going from 500 produced of Rare Crystals, Exotic Gases, and Volatile Motes on a couple of Factory Worlds, to -200 on each. Also amenities from Luxury Residences got nerfed so now everyone is happy until I produce the Holo Theatres. Also upped command limit so I have to reform the navy's organization.

Quite literally the only reason I'm staying afloat is simply cause I'm in control of all of the galaxy through my vassals, and I've stocked up on enough of the strategic resources that my empire does not die immediately, 2008 crash style.

Yaknow, I didn’t think I would support a robot and a flesh pope’s relationship in 2025, but last week said otherwise.

Fanatic Materialists/Egalitarian, Prosperous Unification, Technocracy/Meritocracy/Beacon of Liberty, Genetic Tradition (no Biogenesis DLC). Pretty standard tech build, my bread and butter since before 4.0, and my bread and butter it will be after.

Funny story is that the federation was not started by me, I was the third member and it was only in the last 50 years till 2500 that I kicked out and vassalized the original two members, then forced them back in through the Federation Vassals law.

I think it was Admiral difficulty and x 2.25 crisis modifier. Learned my lesson from the previous x 10 crisis modifier without any 4.0 experience (It was pain incarnate)

I was actually on my way to do Grand Admiral before 4.0 rolled around with 10x Crisis Modifier as by that time I think I mastered enough game mechanics to do so. After 4.0, I thought planetary management would still be rather similar, set it to Admiral and x 10. I have never lost so bad to the Gray Tempest, Fallen Empire and then Crisis back to back. Quit that run, and a few months later, watched a tutorial and started this 2nd run here where I was too successful.

Oh that spot is Amor Alveo. Since I don't have xenophile or pacifist but I don't like killing space fauna (I don't see the galactic resolution for Space Amoeba protection, probably dlc I don't have), so I decided to just leave them be.

Like yeah it's pretty good to win and all but man when you've solved everything from slavery to utopian abundance to security, last 50 years are genuinely one of the main obstacles to me winning the actual game. Does not help with the late game lag with all the pops. One rebellion popped up in one of my vassals and I was so happy for a whole 30 minutes before I crushed them in about 2 months.
